Oakland Community College is the best option for MTA transfers and for Associate's Degrees. The counselors are great at helping you guide in the right direction in terms of academics. Their tutoring services are life saviors and not to mention free. It is a great and money-saving community college.
The Auburn Hills campus is easy to get around. There's a decent amount of parking around the buildings. Most of the professors are great, and some of them are brought in from other colleges/universities. Some of the more difficult classes have a supplemental instructor assigned to them.
Usually pretty cool people and teacher's there's always some to talk to or someone new to meet. There are people to always help out if your confused on hw wether its another student or a tutor. The classes are relatively small so it help transitions you into a college setting but the hw is a bit much but its college.

Cynthia: Coming out of high school, you have a lot to look foward to. Many options will come your way, and you'll want to chose all of them. My best advice: Think about what how you want to impact people, and do the thing that you think will give you the greatest advantage for fulfilling that, and allows you to reach the most people. You love people, and no matter what you do, you'll always come back to that love. Don't waste a SINGLE SOLITARY moment on anything else. This matters most.
The distance between campus would probably be my least favorite thing. Each campus has their good qualities and specific classes.
low cost education for accomplimishing general education credits and networking for furture employment through the professors.
Despite the beautiful campus and the serveral convient locations, the parking is the most frusterating thing about Oakland Community. As a morning student, I often find myself struggling to find a parking spot. I understand many of my fellow classmates have the same issue. To change this problem, Oakland Community should consider building a parking garage in the near future.
Anyone!! The only students that may have a problem are those who need large classes to achieve.
It is a great enviornment and very friendly.
A beautiful, lively campus that is successful, structured, and organized.
I was fortunate enough to have an excellent group of teachers in high school that prepared me adequately for college. However, I was extremely nervous about staying home at a community college because all of my friends were going away to a big university. I wish I would have known from the beginning how great of an education I could receive from a community college, despite the stereotypical remarks from people attending big ten schools. I also wish I would have known how easily I could made a network of friends even though I would not be living on campus.
Eveyone is welcomed
Most of my classmates are very vexatious.
The people. My Professors all seem really nice and are very clear about what they expect. Other students seem very nice . The workers in the bookstore are the most helpful and have given good advice about profeesors and good places on the web to check out.
Oakland Community College provided a unique program called Project BOLD for learning disabled and ADHD college students. As a part of this program, a learning specialist was assigned specifically to me to meet my educational needs. I met with my learning specialist twice a week and worked on math, writing and study strategies to help me succeed. Project BOLD offered the one on one support that I needed to transition from high school to college; all at no additional cost to me. This program along with the small classroom sizes made OCC unique to other schools I was considering.
