What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would suggest really talking together to get a sense of what the student really wants out of their college experience. As a parent I would suggest trying to really realize that this is your childs time to shine and get what they want out of their education and ultimately their lives. Making a list of pros and cons for each school once accepted really makes the decision process a lot easier. Evaluate each school and really ask yourself where you can see yourself the following year. A great indication of a good school is that happiness and likability of the other students in attendance so be really attentive on visits. Don't be shy to pull students aside and ask questions- I know at my school students are more than happy to talk. Remember that this is your life and youre college serves as the foundation for your future so think long and hard and GOOD LUCK!
