Greek life on campus is deceptive. Only about 30{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of students at Pepperdine are Greek, but for a number of reasons it sometimes feels like I am one of the only girls on campus who isn't involved in a sorority. The fraternities and sororities don't have houses because they are illegal in Malibu, so Greek life is not as exclusive and clique-y as it can be at other schools. It is still clique-y, but not to the same extent. Greek life at Pepperdine is very different from Greek life at other schools, and a lot of people who would never even consider joining a fraternity or sorority at another school do so here.
