Saint Cloud State University Top Questions

This school gives me the oppurtunity topersue a four year degree while living close to my family.

The most unique feature of this campus is the diversity of its student and faculty population. We have quite a huge population of international students who are either here temporarily or until they graduate. I believe it's one of the best features of this campus and offers an exchange of many different ideas.

The thing that really stands out about St. Cloud State is the University's ability to cater to the needs of its students. In my experience I have met people of all different ages and very diverse backgrounds all working towards the same goal. No matter what your intention is during your time at SCSU you will be able to work and develop your skills in nearly any field without repress. I know that St. Cloud State is an equal opportunity establishment in every definition of the phrase.

The thing I liked best about my chosen school is that after completing my education I know I will be able to get into some of the best hospitals in the nation. The state I live in has some of the best hospitals around and to be able to go to this school and know that I will be able to get into one of these hospitals gives me a huge sense of accomplishment. It also feels good to know that one day I can be helping some of the same people who have helped me.

What's most unique about St. Cloud State is the location. My school is located right on the Mississippi river. I'm from the city so I have to drive far to see the view I get right out of my dorm window! I was amazed by the scenery in the summer and the winter. Anytime I felt stressed out, I would go to Beaver Tail and just get fresh air and listen to the river.

St. Cloud State Universty is unique because it offers a large school experience in a small city setting. The city of St. Cloud has around 60,000 people, but the University has a student population of 17,000. The city of St. Cloud feeds off of the college and supports it in many ways. Local news coverage is dedicated to providing the area with top notch coverage of campus news and sports. Residents of St. Cloud support the school financially, and show their support at numerous sporting events, concets, and performances.

My school is unique from the other schools I considered because of the fact that it has all the buildings in such close walking distance, along with a tight-knit community where all the dorms are located.

This campus was unique in the way that it was very compact and yet very diverse. I could find everything on campus within a twelve minute walk. I love the free movies, the free sporting events, and the free technological help. I love the availability of the professors and how most of the courses are taught by professors and not teachers assistants or graduate assistants.

I don't think there is anything particularly unique. I picked St. Cloud because I wanted to attend a 4 year University and because I have to pay for it myself this was the least expensive school I could attend

It is a very diverse school which creates a more cultural learning atmosphere. Compared to the all the other schools I looked at, SCSU had the most diversity. Coming from a very small town, I feel like I have become more cultured during my time here.

SCSU does have a number of solid pillars within the muddle. I am extremely proud to be involved in SCSU's stellar outdoor program, radio station, and international community. All of these entities have enriched my time at SCSU and expanded my knowledge of the world around me. I didn't see as much strength in these areas in some of the other schools I looked at. In the grand scheme of things, one can make their own positive, enriching educational experience at SCSU is one is willing to work hard to stay involved and not sink into the mire.

Its a small campus, walk from one side to the other in 10 min, but many different students attend and has a lot of activites to do. Such as free movies and free gym and swimming open to students and many other free events.

St. Cloud State has a great reputation in the elementary education program. I am a transfer student from the University of Minnesota, Crookston where I was majoring in Equine Industries (horses). When I decided to change majors, SCSU was my first choice!!!

Amazing education program.

It is big in comparision with other schools, yet has a very family oriented atmoshpere and friendly people that are easy to conect with .

We don't cost as much as the university of minnesota but we often better prepare students for professional schools.

The only other school I considered was a 2 year college. So there is a lot different. I believe I get a better education at a 4 year college but it is more expensive
