Parking

I think the worst thing about the school is the party atmospher there. I do not drink a lot and it is anoying to have so many people who get drunk every weekend.

The worst thing about SDSU is the lack of small classes. Many of the professors are incredible and will get you passionate about what you are studying, but because of the budget cuts, many have been fired or forced to teach in large lecture halls.

worst things are the parking situation, buying a parking permit does not guarantee you a parking spot, th e lack of elevators in the older buildings.

The worst thing about my school would be boring teachers. The teachers COULD BE a little bit more upbeat about the subject.

After graduating, hearing that there were several students who were caught selling illegal substances. Many of the students were affliiated with fraternities and sororities. It was dissappointing to hear since the school has a party repuation and is now linked to drug use. As an older student, not living on campus, I was not exposed to the circulating drugs and alcohol and I think that people will get the wrong idea about the school because of this incident.

All the things that had happened, a lot of drug dealers and a lot of students doing drugs.

The only thing that i would conisder the worst thing about my campus is the parking situation. Not enough parking to share with students and special events. Also the availability of classes.

The worst thing about this school is not having enough courses. There are many students enrolled in this university but not enough teachers to support courses for all the students.

I am sometimes late for class because I have to walk a mile to get across the campus to another class. It is not that big of a deal but it is one thing that slightly bothers me. There is not much that I don't like about it.

The sorority/fraternity culture. You cannot turn a corner without seeing a Kappa Delta or Alpha Chi Omega bag. The sororities breed a lack of creativity and individuality that I find demeaning to the campus.

Probably the worst thing about my school is the class availability. If you're not a freshman good luck at getting classes!!! it's impossible!!!

I believe the worst thing at San Diego State is the reputation we carry. People see our school as a "party" school and it lowers our creditability as a University.

Getting the classes you need/want can be difficult.

I would consider the worst thing about my school to be the lack of available parking. Everyday the parking lots and garages fill up at 10 am and there are extremely few spaces available until about 1 pm, this causes traffic problems sometimes, but more importantly causes students who need to park between those times to be frequently late to their first class of the day. Because so many students are hunting for a limited number of spaces in the lots and garages they tend to take it out on one another in the form of road rage.

The worst thing is school spirit. We are passionate in the classroom, but as far as recognizing what a great institution San Diego State University really is, we lack it. With recent events, our school has gotten some bad reveiws, but that aside, have pride! I am happy to say that there is not one day that goes by that I don't say "I go to San Diego State University and I am proud of it!"

We need a better football team.

The lack of direction by the majority of students. Very few teachers I have had tend to inspire students or really seem passionate about what they do. It's hard to feel like you have accomplished things when many of your teachers just lecture off of powerpoint and other slides.

This college is very large, the parking is a problem and the reputation for lack of safety and the party school atmosphere is probably accurate.

They are very focused on the fresh out of high school kids but don't do much for older students or grad students.

Too many people and not enough parking. They keep accepting more and more freshman each year breaking new student records and this is effecting class availablitity. Parking is crazy, too much traffic and not enough space.

I think the worst thing about this campus is how lenient the school is. Students in fraternities and sororities continue to have parties and binge drink on the weekends. There is also a bar on campus, which i think should be removed because it gives students the opportunity to consume alcoholic beverages before night classes.

The worst part would have to be the heat during half of the year, and that a lot of the classes are just to big to have a personal expierence with the instructor. Also we've got some teachers with some pretty thick accents who don't care about your ability to understand them.

It is nearly impossible to get the classes you need in your lower division classes, especially if you have a work schedule to consider. The classes that everyone has to take are so impacted its unreal. If the class has 50 seats on the first day of class they will all be filled, plus about 30 crashers. I've been forced to take classes at local community colleges in addition to SDSU because of it.

The only thing I do not like at SDSU would be the fact that it such a big campus that it is very difficult to wear heels to school. During high school I always wore heels, however at SDSU its painful to go from class to class. Of course being able to wear heels to school is not a problem for all the students, its just my personal problem.

The fraternity and sorority community is large so the school is centered on the greek life. Fraternities and sororities are great, but they are not for everyone and it's not the greatest when school is centered on that.
