The campus atmosphere is very enjoyable. The loyalty of Aggies and formers Aggies is absolutely incredible. The football games and football season is one of the best times of the academic year. It is usually super easy to strike up a conversation with someone on campus as most students are extremely friendly.

I love Texas A&M. I am proud to be an Aggie and represent my school everywhere I go. Even on a huge campus I still feel at home and connected. There are lots of great resources avaialable on campus and all of my professors so far have seemed very welcoming and eager to help me learn.

Overal, Texas A&M is an incredible school. The people are kind and inclusive, but the lack of diversity in the school can be frustrating for some. I can't speak for the quality of education in every discipline, but I am very happy with the Landscape Architecture program.

Everyone on campus are incredible kind and are so willing to help anyone who needs it. This is your home away from home, never feeling alone or lost due to the amazing student-body. This school also provides and immense network of Alums after graduation, this makes getting jobs or internships so much easier, allowing students to use the great education students have gained. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

To be apart of Texas A&M University is to be apart of something bigger than yourself. I am a 5th generation Aggie, who at first had no desire to attend this university due because I wanted to cheer in college. I ended up cheering my first 2 years at a junior college then transferred soon after to A&M. When I entered A&M I felt like a fish out of water but soon found my way with due to the multiple student organizations, friendly classmates, and more. I can honestly say that Texas A&M has some of the nicest people which allowed me to be myself, find myself, and be apart of the BIG A&M that everyone boasts about.

I am a part of the Aggie Family. This college is one big community where people are always friendly and welcoming. Texas A&M is my home and I couldn't see myself any where else. The college is excellent inside and outside the classroom, giving everyone a niche to call home.

I love being a student at Texas A&M and I'm proud to call myself an Aggie. I am currently a freshman in the engineering at Galveston program. Next year after I am entered into an engineering major, I will be attending classes at the main campus. I like the program I'm in a lot.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

A&M is a great place. Conservative, huge, opportunity upon opportunity. All the girls dress in huge shirts and workout shorts which can somehow both be attractive and annoying as it seems they are cookie cutters of eachother. The academics are top notch. Great engineering department. Professors keep regular office hours. Met great and helpful people and two faced, terrible people. A school of 66k students so you're gonna run into some of everyone. Traffic and parking is ridiculously terrible. But the atmosphere, school spirit, academics, and opportunities make A&M perhaps the very best school in Texas. I'm sad I have to go.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Even being from Dallas going a little south to A&M proved to be a big culture shock for me. It seems most of the students here grew up with Christian/conservative/military traditional values. This in itself is fine but over the years I've gotten the overwhelming impression that most of the students here aren't exactly the most open minded, tolerant, and cultured people. Of course not all students are like that here, but if you go against the AGGIE culture the more you will seriously feel a sense of not belonging. A&M academically is a fantastic school, but if you are not a super Conservative Christian Jesus Loving white male or female this may not be the place for you. Regardless of what anyone tries to say, A&M to an extent is racist and A&M to an extent is redneck, but if you can see past it and find your own friend groups it's not so bad. Hopefully more of you open minded people will come here and try to change the culture a little bit, because really, this is a fantastic school and it needs to go ahead with the times.

Texas A&M University is one of the best things to happen in my life. I grew up not too far from College Station, but never knew much about Texas A&M. Once i completed a school tour (despite the rainy, cold day), I knew this school was for me. Texas A&M has a small school-feel to it, despite having over 50,000 undergraduates attending the university. A&M really pushes you to climb out of your comfort zone, to meet new people, join on and off-campus organizations, excel in school, and promote our traditions and unique qualities. Texas A&M has a unique beginning. Founded in 1876, A&M began as a southern-US military trade school. A few years later, our rivals in Austin founded their school (as so begins the rivalry), which eventually evolved us into accepting civilians to the school. Eventually, we became predominately civilian, and in the 1960s (yes, the 60s) women were allowed to matriculate. We have several traditions that route back to our military time that are still carried on and deeply honored today. If you are considering Texas A&M University, i urge you to learn more about the school: go on a tour, talk to current and former students, talk to advisors in the department in which you are pursuing. These resources will allow you to make an informed decision for yourself, not just what you have heard about the school. This is a fantastic, caring, loving school that will leave you with memories for a lifetime (not being cliche, it definitely will). Take me back!
