I like that my department is hands on. That's one of the reasons I chose this school. It's also close to my family but not too close. I get just the right amount of distance.

The best thing about Texas State University is the helpful and friendly staff of administrators, advisors, counselors, and health service providers. The first time I went to Texas State, I felt as though the staff was sincerely interested in my situation and providing me with all the answers I needed. The very best experience I've had with Texas State employees has been the student health center staff; they are ALWAYS helpful and friendly!

The best thing about Texas State is the friendly atmosphere. Nobody will be left out alone if they don't want to be. You can always find some activity to do. If you don't have anything to do on a Friday night you can take a 2 minute walk from campus to a local coffee house and watch live music. Good vibrations are felt through all students and faculty. There is no reason to be scared to talk to anyone on campus. This freedom allows sudents to access all hubs of information to complete their studies.

I think the location of my school is great, I also think most of the professors are interesting and make learning more fun, and finally I love the people at the school.

I concider the best thing about my school is its academic recognition. Texas State has the best Interior Design Program in the State of Texas. It is also nationally recognized for its Geography program. Also as a new addition Texas State has aquired one of the few hands on forensic Research Facilities in the Nation.
