Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

I fyou got into San Diego GOOD JOB! If you read all my comments GOOD JOB. And if you want to go to UCSD GOOD JOB ITS THE RIGHT CHOICE the only reason I would reconsider my decision is that social life is kind of hard at first, and I would consider going to UCI, where a dozen of my friends or so went

Russell

Transfer students...this is for you! As of 2008, there is no on-campus housing for transfer students. That's a bummer because you'll miss out on many campus events, dorm room antics, and convenience! There is a transfer dorm/residence hall in the works. It probably won't be ready until 2011. My advice as a former transfer student is this.... 1) Join student orgs. This is a must! 2) Continue to do well in academics. People will flock to you if you're doing well in class. This is an opportunity to make connections. 3) Do NOT try to get into cliques or already-been-established social groups. Make your own!

Amanda

I really liked UCSD and think it is a great school.

Lisa

The buses aren't always very frequent, but having a car is costly. Where the campus is located is kind of boring, but fun San Diego is like, 15-40 min bus ride in any direction. The dining hall food is good, it is one of the only UC's that isn't buffet. Careful what college you pick! UCSD is very fun, I really like it. San Diego is a neat place to live, in general. Making friends is harder in college then they say.

Blake

UCSD NEEDS A MORE REWARDING SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT. Its alienated itself from the meaning of college life! ACADEMICALLY ITS WONDERFUL.

KC

UCSD sucks.

Rachael

All in all I think taht UCSD is kind of lack of that normal college experience of house parties, and crazy nights. Most students are very academically oriented, or if they do like to party, in general its with a group of people where everyone knows each other. I also feel that UCSD is a good place for large deptarments of a field, but if you want someone more specific, like journalism, UCSD is not your school.

Charlie

ucsd doesn't suck like a lot of people would say. its a nice place to be and i think people tend to take advantage of the fact that they are receiving an amazing education in a beautiful place.

Reese

The campus itself is beautiful. I feel like i'm in a rainforest walking from class to class and the weather is perfect.

KJ

Hope this helps!

Brett

i think we need a greek row... that would make this school more social and more ppl wouldnt feel it were anti-social

Angelica

I often feel that UCSD is overlooked because it is overshadowed by UCLA an UC Berkeley. Students need to give UCSD a second look and research the opportunities it has to offer students. It is an up and coming school and I expect it to slowly emerge onto the national and international stage as a very highly sought after school.

Michelle

I LOVE UCSD! I'm very happy I came here. Be sure to check out everything about all the colleges you decide to apply to. You'll find a good match. UCSD tries very hard to be accommodating to their students, which is what I love.

Jenny

UCSD is a school for seriously academic students. It is not a school for slackers.

Cameron

this school is definitely not parking friendly. I think almost every student has encountered an issue or an inconvenience with on campus parking. Even though students can purchase a parking permit, it is overly expensive and hard to afford. Moreover, all the parking structures are packed and hard to park.

Kelly

Honestly, I love UCSD. It was my first choice not because of it's academics, but because I felt so at home, relaxed, and comfortable there the moment I stepped on campus. I love the students here and I love the culture, but then again I'm not someone who needs parties and a jam-packed social calendar. I prefer to hang out with a small group of friends and shop, watch movies, etc...UCSD was perfect for me.

Beza

Oh UCSD!! its something/a place that grows on you.

Torry

Don't go home on the weekends because that will just make everyone else keep doing it. Get outside of the La Jolla bubbble and discover the rest of UCSD. Figure out the public transportation if you don't have a car, UCSD has great connections with our buses. Not enough people are involved with school government and would rather complain, so make a difference.

wendy

too many questions...this survey is too long and i am losing interest.

Ami

I love my school and I am sad to graduate.
