People who are interestein in the agrigultural, natual resources, and pre-veterinary studies really seem to excell at U of M, Crookston. Here we seem to be more of an agrigultural based school. Our class sizes are perfect size, and we are able to get a good professor to student interaction. People coming from a smaller community would have a great adjustment to here and excel. Not only will they excel but they will enjoy their choice of attending the University of Minnesota Crookston.

Any body who loves a hand on experience with an open and inviting community who has a love for any of the many majors offered at UMC.

I am attending the U of M, Crookston online courses because I am currently working full-time and I am limited on time. I would say that the type of person I would recommend to attend school through online courses are individuals that are like myself or even potential students who have children or have financial situations that do not allow for them to attend a traditional classroom.

Small town types. Happy to be OUT of a big city. Not big city types. Natural resources program is good. Equine program is good. There is some cultural diversity. High percentage of Korean students/exchange students. Good transfer student option--they take most credits in.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is such an amazing college! I have felt nothing but support and belief from all the staff and students the entire time. I believe that anyone would be able to fit in and excel in this atmosphere, as long as they are open to being surrounded by a "small-town" atmosphere!

UMC is a small school with big opportunities. There are small class sizes and hands on activites. It is a school known for Agriculture and natural resources, the students reflect that. We also are fortunate enough to have a pretty great international program. This really allows students to get to know other students from around the world. There are alot of opportunities to become a leader on campus, all it takes is some inititive. If you are looking for a school that is pretty intimate in nature and you recieve a big ten degree this is the place for you!
