I think the worst thing about this universiy is the lack of accesibility to recieve other financial help out side of tuition and fees but rather financial help with day to day expenses.

Heavy commuter school, which leads to somewhat decreasing school spirit

UNT is very diverse, but if I had to go with the worst thing about our school it is that the parking doesn't fit the amount of enrollment. This university is growing like crazy, along with the surrounding area of Denton. Unfortunately, the re-construction of roads and parking lots has not caught up with the fast-paced growth of the population and causes many traffic problems and inconveniences with parking.

The worst thing about my school is the parking. It is sometimes very difficult to drive around campus and park in a convenient location relative to where you're trying to go. On a normal day, you may have to park halfway if not all the way across campus because the "inner" lots are occupied.

I don't consider anythimg bad about my school really, I'm really happy with the choice I made to attend here.

The cafeteria's in my opinon are not good. I think the food here for the most part, unless you buy it directly from the Union, its usually not very good.

I really think the only bad thing about the school is it is hard to find a part time job to work with the school classes.

There are times when I get frustrated about how competitive the art department is, especailly the Photography majors. This is mostly due to limited space and machines.

I think the worst thing about my school is the lack of communication and care among departments, even within departments. I find that everything has to be figured out by the student because of sheer apathy. Most professors tell the students to figure it out for themselves, which clearly shows lack of care.

The worst thing at my school right now for me is the financial situation. With my being on academic probation they make it hard for me to get financial aid, scholarships and even loans. I'm working way too many hours to try to help me pay for school and it's affecting my grades even more.

The worst thing about my school is the lack of access to free printing.

Dealing with the idea of being out on your own can be daunting here. Its very big and there is no one to really hold your hand and show you the right way to do everything. Learn to deal with that and people will do just fine.

I think the thing that I dislike most about the University of North Texas is the fact that it is a big commuter school. I feel as if the lack of school spirit is due to the fact that the majority of the students who attent UNT are from the Dallas/Ft Worth area and tend to go home quite often.

The lack of spirit, mainly because of our losing football team, but that does not mean we don not succeed in other sports. I have noticed a large difference int he past two years and i feel that in ten years we will be just as spirited and excited about UNT as the UT fans are. I think with this change of spirit our school could be one of the best schools in the nation and should be the best school in Texas because i feel we have just as much to offer as UT and A&M.

I wish that in my area of study which is fashion design, more successful professionals in this industry from around the country would attend the Senior Fashion Show at UNT to acknowledge and seek out the students at this university for employment opportunities. The only schools I ever hear of where students are given a great deal of exposure and excellent job opportunities upon graduation are Parsons, FIT, FIDM, and Central Saint Martins. I believe all students should be treated equally and at least given the same exposure that these specific institutes receive.

Everyone thinks their school is too expensive. Our fees can be a bit outrageous, but that's why we students milk it for all it's worth! We're using the buses, attending anything that's free and especially if the food is free! And our recreational facilities are among the best in Texas and it's free to students! WALL CLIMBING!

The football team is not very talented. I feel it is hard to have school spirit when the team is so terrible.

It's such a commuter school, that living off campus leaves you feeling very disconnected -- I did this for my first year and a half and it made the whole experience worse. Now that I live about a block off of campus, it really helps me with connecting with other students and feeling more connected with my school.
