What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Alison

We recycle on campus

Natalie

Parking can be difficult at times. It can also be hard to get the classes you need because they sometimes fill up.

Holly

Traffic on I-35 near campus is probably the worst thing, however there are plans for expansion in the coming years.

Ro'Derica

The most frustrating thin about my school is registering for classes. Although it's simple and easy to do, it can sometimes be difficult to get the classes you want/ need at the times you want. UNT is a big school and the order that sudents are allowed to register is Honors College 1st, then Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and then Freshman. It's possible that the class you need is already full if you have to register later.

Stephanie

Overall I really enjoy my school and feel like I do learn a lot. The only problem I have with the actual school is where the school is located. I really hate living in Denton. There is nothing to do here and I feel like if there was more to do here I would want to stay and live here next semester. Also another thing that bothers me about this school is the financial staff. They don't help you just tell you to apply online, which doesn't help me at all.

Tammy

They do not offer family housing. I am single mother of 3 kids so I was disappointed in that way.

Kelsey

I wish more people would openly show school spirit on Fridays when we're supposed to wear green. Many jazz majors (a nationally recognized program for the university) have overwhelming pride but don't choose to wear spirit clothes.

Ni

Sometimes the weather won't be cosistent so you have to be prepared.

David

Probably the athletics. Although we are good at some sports, the school just doesen't have the sports following that I would like. We are working on it every year, improving facilities and trying to generate excitment. The school has alot of commuters, so not everyone lives on or around campus. We definetely need to continually improve on generating interest and staying competitive.

Jesse

They accepted most of the credits from other schools including military and ace credits

Dorayeth

The most frustrating thing about my school is that my high school was more demanding and difficult, which i guess i shouldn't compain about... BUT I LIKE BEING CHALLANGED!

Ashley

Every semester I will have at least 2 or 3 "professors" that are just grad students. I would like to have more professors.

Jonathan

there is none, I love my school.

RochelleTrachier

no asian grocery store, not as many minorities.

Juliette

You have to learn how to adjust to this school. Its very big and hard to make friends unless you party alot.

Tim

This school is so big that everyone is insignificant, and everything is crowded. Everything takes at least 15 minutes to do because of long lines. The teachers are pompous, and assume that the students are incompetent, and even though I have a very high level of competence I am treated this way. Most of the people involved in the medical program here are idiots, and do not really want to listen to the concerns of students, but would rather prescribe quick remedies and have an extended lunch.

Anne

Alot of the classes fill up early so if your a freshman or a sophmore you usually dont really get to pick your schedule, your just stuck with whats left.

Jill

Professors that cannot speak English well enought for their students to understand them. It is extremely frustratining and it seems like all of them are professors in the major I have chosen.

Drew

It is still considered by many as a commuter school. To establish school spirit and a great culture students need to stay on campus and get more involved.

Justin

I have personally had many bad experiences at my school concerning financial aid and what the school refers to as "computer error". Also, most of the teachers here don't care enough about their subject and the students that they teach. I picked this school because it is close, and I could stay home with my parents. My father has a terminal illness and I wanted to help take care of him, but if I could go back, I don't think that I would have chose the same university.

Jackie

There is nothing frustrating to me about my school.

Delora

How long it takes for the financial aid department to process awards at the beginning of each term.

Jill

Professors that have such strong accents that they cannot be understood. I failed a class because I could not understand one of them. I am not a racist person but because 4 of the required classes for my major were taught by such professors, I did not want to offend them by discussing my problem. My personal goal is to be on the Dean's List. but if I get any more professors like I just mentioned, I doubt I will ever achieve my goal.

Robyn

The large lecture halls is the most frustrating.
