This campus is very welcoming. There are many services to help support your journey on campus, including mental health support. They provide two libraries, a writing center, a couple of computer labs, and more. There is free printing so you don't have to worry about that. There are many food options along the edges of campus if you like to eat at school. There is a market that offers healthy choices and drinks as well.
This campus is unique because of its renovated buildings from old local businesses. This downtown feeling campus is well lit and always provides a safe space for those in need of one. I highly recommend this campus for its exceptional inclusion of all types of people and its small class sizes that help students to further their knowledge.
In University of Washington Tacoma, students were able to see things in different perspectives. Critical thinking was highly encouraged in all classes. School was pretty diverse in a way that all the students were feeling some sort of belonging in this community.
I love the small class size, and I've only had amazing professors that are extremely helpful and available both during office hours and via email. Living either on or off campus is expensive, but it's nice having a full apartment instead of just a single dorm room. The campus is beautiful despite the rain that happens during most of the year, and there's a lot of little shops and places to eat really close to campus. Overall I've had a great experience so far.

If I can go back in talk to myslef as a senior in high school,I would tell myslef that having a college life is having a future to look forward to. although its hard to make changes and adjust to the life in college it will be rewarding when the economy starts to fall apart. Being in college is like discovering a new part of life everyday. Giving the future something to look forward to when faith isnt strong enough to have hope for a new generation. College isnt just a life for people who are smart and rich, its for people who work really hard to see a better day, a stronger future and a better economy.
They are very kind and helpful
Nothing wrong to the school. I like my school.
Class size and opportunity.
I wish I had known about the parking permit details.
The kind of person who prefers a smaller campus, with personable professors. Someone who enjoys getting to know everyone in their class, thanks to class sizes of 30-40 students. Someone who is serious about earning a dregree and pursuing a career.
The University of Washington - Tacoma is home to a historically-renovated, urban campus surrounded by museums, and is filled with diverse, inspired students who inspire others.
Social ,, lot information, learning objectives, many activity in group.
Since it's been my first quarter attending UW-Tacoma campus I don't have much experience to pull from, but what I have experienced I do like. The classes are challenging but only as much as you want them to be. I find when I'm studying longer and staying focused the classes seem to go smoothly when you come across things like, "tests". The teachers so far have been great to work with and are pretty good about making time to answer any questions us students have.
Though Tacoma is my hometown, I have lived in many places as well. I got my Associate of Arts degree at Treasure Valley Community College located in the little town of, "Ontario Oregon". After graduating in the spring of 2012 I packed my belongings and moved to the big city of, "Boise, Idaho". I was planning on going to Boise States University for business or something, but not long after I decided to move back to Tacoma, Washington. Two years of working in a health food store and realizing my life was going nowhere, after much prayer and consideration I finally applied at the University of Washington Tacoma campus and to my surprise I got in. University of Washington Tacoma campus is a beautiful place to go to school. The campus offers a variety of degrees and has smaller classes which help with getting to know your professors and receiving help in your studies. Though it's only my first quarter back in college I hope to do well and take as much from my experience as I can. Aside from the academic curriculum they offer there are also a wide range of clubs they have for students to be apart. All in all my experience at the University of Washington-Tacoma campus has been good.
The kind of person who does not want to go to college at all. Someone who is being forced by parents. Someone who cannot appreciate the downtown Tacoma atmosphere. Someone who wants large class sizes. Someone who needs to be told what to do and when to do it.
The bragging points of UW-Tacoma are highly educated and experienced professors easily accessible. Accessibility is due to smaller class sizes. Since class sizes are smaller and professors more accessible, you have the opportunity to ask more questions and receive more personal instruction and mentoring. Also the location in downtown Tacoma is ideal for maintaining a professional career. There is easy access from freeways and the revitalization of Tacoma has provided several potential employers to students and graduates.
