Can students apply the credits toward a Bachelor’s degree?

Read the “Small Print” Carefully!

Yes there are some technical, community college-based programsand trade Schools, especially those based at your local community college who have what’s called an “educational ladder.” This means that a certain number of college credits are granted to students who completes the program and then wants to continue on towards a degree. This is the exception to the rule, however, and the first thing you need to examine when exploring your options is whether the school is accredited in your region. Next, do they have “articulation agreements” with universities that allow transferability of credits towards a Bachelor’s degree. Next, ask….”How many credits are transferable and what is the process?” Whether you think you’ll ever go on to complete your four-year degree or not, attending a program that offers this flexibility is the better investment.
