I love Alvernia! The campus is a beautiful setting! The staff and faculty are truly helpful and invested in each student. I will play football at Alvernia! I am thrilled to be a part of a team team that is choosing to build young men to become leaders in their communities. I am excited to begin my college academic and sports career at Alvernia in the fall!

I enjoy attending Alvernia University, but within every campus there are strengths and weaknesses. I\'ve noticed there are downfalls for students who are commuting, such as the ability to meet new people and create friendships. It can be hard for these individuals to attend school events if they feel uncomfortable being around people they don\'t necessarily know. Regarding academics, it is obviously made a priority for majority of the professors. They are usually easy to reach and are willing to meet and discuss grades or current questions you have regarding classes.

Cierra - 05/18/2020

I think that Alvernia has a lot to offer. There is always something going on and the faculty is very caring and supportive. Everyone is treated equally here and I would recommend this school to anyone

james - 03/04/2020

Alvernia is large enough that you get the feel of being away at college, but small enough to feel like a real part of campus. The class sizes are good and allow you to create a relationship with your Professor. The extra curricular activities are plentiful and give you many opportunities for community service and volunteering. It creates a very positive atmosphere.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Parents and students have to understand that finding the right college is impossible. Whatever a college brochure or study says about a school may be irrelevant when the student actually starts in the Fall semester and experiences the lifestyle for the first time. The best measure of finding a good school is to take the time to visit the campus, ask as many questions as possible about student life and academics, and then stay over for a night and experience what a college student does. When this is done, a prospective student has the best chance in deciding whether or not the school is right for them or not.
