Redneck, hippie, and druggies. It's half accurate.
There are the stoners there, but in my opinion theres just as many at Appalachian than any other big school. Also, I heard how nice the people were here, and that I have found to be 100% true. Something about these mountain people and their way of life make it a great place to live!
The lost and confused tend to think that Appalachian is just a stoner school full of hippies. Fortunately, both assumptions are incorrect and just silly. Students here are involved in so much more than that. With over 200 hundreds clubs on campus and an amazing location in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, there is always something new to check out around here. All of the events and activities at App and around town make simply "getting high" quite difficult and a complete waste of time.
Sure they exist, but overall were just normal people trying to find ourselves. You can find different groups from any social group and I dont think one is more abundant than the other.
