Carson Newman is a wonderful school. They care abut each student and there education and will not give up on you like most colleges do. The campus is huge and if you do feel unsafe they have an app were you can ask a deputy to walk with you to were you need to go.
I love the small atmosphere. Teachers are more devoted to our education and really want us to succeed. The campus needs some updating. Overall love the people and the education. The facility needs some TLC. Also, would love to see more clubs, groups, and campus life.
I really love Carson-Newman. In my time here I have come to view it as a second home. I have met the best people and made the best of friends. I could not imagine my life without them. Beyond my peers, the professors at CN go above and beyond. I have never seen a group of people work so hard for their students. CN being as small as it is lends itself to having a very tight-knit community, and that extends to the professors and staff as well. I cannot imagine that many students at larger schools go to their professors' houses for tea or Christmas parties; or that the president has every graduating senior to his home for some time to reflect about their time at Carson-Newman. Overall, CN has the best student base and professors that anyone could ask for.
I love being a student at Carson-Newman University. I feel comfortable, feel important, feel as thought the professors genuinely care about you as a student and a person, and I feel as though this is where I belong. Continuing my education in a Christian atmosphere is where I want to be and can't imagine being anywhere else.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Carson-Newman University is 63%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Pray and seek where God is truly wanting you to go. If you go somewhere that is not desired, you will hate every moment of it.
My school is the best school, because it is small and has a friendly atmosphere.
The best thing I like about my school is the Christian atmosphere. It’s a small Liberal Arts College, and I am thankful for that. I like everywhere I walk I know someone to wave and say hi to. I also love the flexibility of a degree you can get. I’m currently a Communications Major with a double minor and Theatre and Art. But I’m thinking about making the Theare dregree a major. I’m also thankful to be on the Forensic team, which is my backbone at the school.
I CAN NOT THINK OF ANYTHING THAT IS BAD ABOUT MY SCHOOL. IT IS A GREAT COLLEGE AND THE TEACHERS OFFER ALOT OF HELP. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COLLEGE TO ANYONE.
Carson-Newman is designed for the small town person or people who like that environment. It is 30 minutes from a large city. Most of the professors have a Christian background and talk about there beliefs. If you do not like to hear about God or what he is doing , Carson-Newman may not be the school for you.
MOST ARE MUCH YOUNGER THAN I AM, BUT THEY ARE FUN AND VERY KIND.
I would its outreach programs. We're heavily into missions here at Carson. We work with a lot of people involved in social welfare programs and overseas ministries. I know we have a lot of Appalachian Outreach workdays, and every fall and spring break we have groups that go work in NPOs in local areas and in places like China. It's hard work, but it's rewarding. We enjoy doing it, and the sense of accomplishment and purpose that outreach ministry gives us goes a long way toward our success later in life.
The atmosphere was amazing. Carson-Newman in the years I attended was the #1 school in the nation for community service. If you went to Carson-Newman the odds were that you were there because you planned on making a difference with your future career choice, which made for great people and relationships.
Someone who doesn't want to be called on in class, who doesn't want teachers and students to know them by name, and who hates small campuses
What a great college Carson-Newman is. Very down to earth, faculty are great, small classes, and have gained great friends.
How the professors of the nursing program "weeded" the students out who they thought couldn't make it through in order to maintain a state boar pass rate instead of encouraging and helping them along. The students are very much on their own then it comes to motivation. Also, that the only time there were fun things to do on campus was when the new students came for orientation.
first semester
My school is in a city that does not have very much to do. Knoxville is about 30 minutes away, but there are really no big activities to participate in in Jefferson City.
