The campus is beautiful, We are always adding new dorms and academic buildings to keep our campus growing.

I had a really nice apartment and was able to finish in 3 years when I took my advising into my own hands.

I would brag about the at home feeling you have while living here on campus. For one the campus is absolutely beautiful and always changing for the better. New buildings, beutiful landscape, and always freindly people. This is important when coming to a college. For most it is their first away from home experience, and the fact that people here are so down to earth, and easy to get along with, makes this important transition so much easier.

All my friends attend schools with massive class sizes, sometimes into the thousands. At Christopher Newport University the average class size is around 30, allowing for a much more personal experience. The small campus means you can get to class quickly and the food here is great!

One aspect of Christopher Newport that I brag most about is the campus size. Coming from a very small elementary school, then a small middle school, followed buy a not so large high school, CNU was a nice adjustment. It takes less than 15 minutes to walk to any particular point on campus. The small campus also proves to be a great size when it comes to seeing your friends on a regual basis. It's nice to be able to walk to class and see a friend, companion, or sorority sister.

The best thing about Christopher Newport University is the Liberal Arts education. Each student has the opportunity to take a number of different classes ranging from History to Fine Arts that help to shape the student?s academic experience so that when they graduate they not only have a degree, but a greater understanding of the world around them.

I brag most about the people I have met here at CNU. I am lucky enough to be surrounded by people who have the same goals as I do - to study hard, but to also leave time for fun. I can find a study group whenever I need help, and at the same time, if I want to relax with friends, there is always a group who wants to hang out too. Many of my friends at other colleges do not have this same feeling - its either all study or all fun.

Christopher Newport contains such an array of people, that it is worth taking time to get to know someone new. The size is perfect, for me at least, because it is big enough to meet new people every day but small enough that I know someone everywhere I go. The academics range from really easy to really hard, so I have the classes that I can kick back in but then I have the classes that take my every effort. I think our campus is beautiful and especially with the new buildings being built, it is a sight.

I brag about how my schools newer dorms. We have air conditioning. We even get our own bathrooms, and most of the dorms are carpeted. Included (per student) in the room is a bed, a dresser, a wardrobe, and a desk. Each room is also given a telephone and 1 microfridge. No metal keys, our cards swipe to get into our rooms. These rooms are also fairly big compared to other schools. Freshman housing is the only housing that doesn't have a common area with 2 chairs and a couch. Nice and new.

Awesome atmosphere - small campus, close knit dorm life, easy access professors - very comfortable - no home sickness here!!

I brag about the location to the beach, Busch Gardens, and Colonial Williamsburg. I brag about the friendliness of the people and the great food. The biggest thing that Christopher Newport has that other schools seem to be lacking in is the sense of belonging and being part of a larger body so you cannot get lost in the system and just be a number.

The Noland Trail! I love running the 5 miles... 6 if you start at our gym. We also have the Ferguson Center for the Arts that BB King played at (and bragged about too).

When I talk about the school I talk about the surrounding area. Hampton Roads is a really dynamic resource recreationally and academically. We also have nicer dorms then most campuses and a lot of brand new facilities on campus, including our student union, library and performance space.
