I believe it is an above average community college, with a normal pay price for tuition, but needs to help more with students and their ways of being able to pay for college, considering how complicated the system is. The idea Im trying to place is that students in this school can obtain a good education , but they really need help with ways they can pay for college.
The school can be better. However, it doesn't really have a campus on its own. And it shares streets with the NYU. The women's bathrooms are located on every other floor. So it makes it very inconvenient. Not to mention it is very hard to find anything in the school. It is the equivalent of going to high school.
City Tech is a school that is located in the middle of the city; between Brooklyn and Manhattan. The school is a place that you would find people from different cultures all around the World. However, I feel like there is nothing that brings us all together to bring our different perspectives and thoughts of life together and incorporate them into the school environment. Of course there are clubs and programs that brings students with the same ideas or likes together, but there are no events that brings all students of different ideas together. With this in mind, I feel like writing a letter to the student association or even working hand in hand with them to come with annual events that could bring the entire student body together will be beneficial to the school and also to the students that are willing to make friends with other people in the school community.

I WOULD TELL MYSELF TO GO TO CLASS WHEN I WAS SUPPOSED TO. I WOULD TELL MYSELF TO PAY ATTENTION AND DO WHAT THE TEACHER EXPECTED ME TO DO. I WOULD ALSO TELL MYSELF TO STAY OUT OF THE HALLWAYS, UNLESS I HAD TO USE THE BATHROOM.
I like the school. Many of the students do not take full advantage of everything the school offers but there is a lot of support available for us. We have computer access available in multiple labs, a great library, counselors and wonderful administrative staff.
My classmates are sometimes hilarious, but then again focused.
That it was going to be a 4year program for me in Human Services before I had graduated back in 1986 with my AA I probably would have stayed and completed my undergraduate degree them. But I'm encouraged to continue now especially since my three young adults are completing their associates now in medical & legal science...I just need a little encouragement and funds to help I really have now savings to cover my tuition I have been struggling to help my children to succeed to help someone else in life sucecced.
The walking Distance between different school buildings and the problems with the cafeteria.
My school is a school filled with hard workers and people determined to make it in life. It is not a school that is flashy or Ivy league material but a school that gets the job done. If I had to describe this school in one word it would be persistent because no matter the obstacles, it is always imporatnt to keep a level head and look only to the goal line.
There are no relevant activities. Ping pong is not a sport but there are some plays performed sometimes.
Cummuter stusdents that already has a degree and need additional classes.
The variety of people and diversity
I attended school in VA and NYCCT compared to there is more work than play. Since it is not a campus students dont have to deal with the partying and as much of the temptation. There are different areas/buildings dedicated to certain majors which is really nice. Also there are programs that are extremely selective which makes me want to work even harder
They can improve.
There are a wide variety of students at New York city college of technology. There is a little bit of everything. The diversity is great.
Well to be honest I'm a Freshman in CITY TECH COLLEGE stairight out from high school I don't know what this school is really all about .
The best thing about City Tech is that there are a few good, dedicated and caring teachers. Unfortunately many of the faculty and staff either don't care about the students or they simply can't teach, which makes learning a difficult process. But with the bad comes the good, and the good is that when you find a good teacher, they are really caring and making the learning process enjoyable!
The kind of person that shouldn't attend this school is the kind of person that cant handle or don't like big crowds.
The most frustrating thing about my school is that they have different buildings but the buildings dont have a sign letting you know what building is what.
A typical weekend for me is just work and go out with a few of my friends if i'm not out of it from working all day.
When I step off campus, I step in the heart of Brooklyn. You can find anything you need from the stores and different restaurants to public transportation to get to where you need to go.
someone recommended the school to me when i was searching for college to attend...he was an alumni of the school many years ago...then the school was called NYC technical college.
The hardest thing about freshman year is finding your way in school. Wondering if your going to meet anyone, you just don't know what's going happen.
