Parents don't worry! Students are fully capable of choosing a college of their choice. It gives us a feeling of resposiblity and accomplishment . The experience of choosing a college of our choice helps us realize how much opportunity there is for us to recieve an education. I do believe parents have a right to have a say in what college might be right for students. Parents should and are encouraged to give suggestions and help guide the student to a good choice. Both students and parents should also keep their opinions open. Do not be afraid to try news things. Do not feel limited to schools around the area. I think one should go and visit campuses that are 2 -4 hours away from home. The sky is the limit! What is a few hours away from home? The college experience is like no other experience. Longterm relationships are made along with the achievement of an education. It will definitly require hard work but in the end it is all worth it!

When parents are planning which school to send their kinds to, the most important thing is to communicate with their child and see what they have to say about it. Secondly, they should look for schools that offer their major. Third, take tours at all the schools they seek those that have smaller classes because this allows the student to gain more attention form professors. Finally, if the school is far from home, the living on campus is their option. Parents should trust their kids and understand that they have taught them everything they could in 18-19 years and now they are on their own and that they should not be worried at all.

I would say the most important thing is finding a place that feels like home. Somewhere that you feel comfortable. If you're comfortable in your surroundings then you will do better in class and be alot less stressed.

You only go to college once. It goes by fast. Therefore, it is very important to try your best. It is also wise to make some friends asnd have a social life as well.
