The best and worst parts of the social scene at Duke University

The best part is that it is an open and engaging social scene where often, everyone is invited to parties and events. It's easy to meet people and hang out with your friends on the weekends, because people often go to the same things. The worst part is probably the relationship scene (i.e., lack thereof), as this is a key part of maturing at most colleges that Duke does not possess. Another negative is when people separate into greek organizations, there are a whole lot less open events and for people who are unaffiliated, options for weekend activities lessen (but are certainly still there!).
