We have a great student to professor ratio, and we call our professors by their first names. Classes involve high level critical thinking that is much more abstract than in high school. Oh, and the students are usually really nice and helpful.

The relationship between staff and students. Earlham being a Quaker-founded school, we call everyone by their first name--even the president! So right away many hierarchical barriers are taken down. You truly become friends with the staff--I even kept in contact with the ladies I work with at the registrar's office over the summer!
