It feels like home; our school is a good size but you will always see someone you know when walking around the campus. Students and teachers are so nice and helpful you can't help but feel welcomed. All schools have their ups and downs including mine but I don't think I would want to be anywhere else.

The cutural, racial and ethnic diversity at my school helps ensure a variety of different opinions that is necessary for balanced discussion. People should get used to having to compromise and see other points of view, because rarely in life will you be in a position where everyone else agrees with you. Being able to make your position understood clearly and consisely is important, and this is evidenced by the way classes are structured here.

I love that this school is very innovative, diverse, and near the city. It gives us the opportunity to find activities to do off campus being near Washington Dc itself. The work is tough but it only motivates you to do the best you can.

The best thing is cocurricular activities. Because apart from study these activities give us chance to polish our leadership qualities and managerial skill.

The best thing about George Mason is the location. The location of George Mason allows students to get involved in government internships and other proporous internships. Also its location allows for it to trade books between libraries with Georgetown, George Washington, and American Universities. The book trading allows for students to get any book that is needed whether on-campus or at another university.

Diversity is the most common used term for this school. However, people generally keep to themselves due to busy schedules of sticking in cliques. It cannot be helped because GMU is known as a commuter school with those working and studying full-time. So there is not much time to socialize. The location is great because it provides convenience for those who want to work, study, and explore. In addition, there are many freebies associated with being a GMU student, such as sports facilities, computer labs, buses, and reduced tickets to concerts.

It is very diverse, I am exposed to many different cultural backgrounds which really helps me to understand the world I live in. There are so many ways to get connected that you have to make an effort not to meet people.

For me the best thing about Mason would be its level of diversity. College is all about meeting peole, learning who you are and, learning to see the world through unsheltered eyes. Going to a school with so many different people helps you to do that. When you have a chance to meet people from other countries and cultures it allows you to kind of see what the world is like looking through others eyes and that can help you learn more about yourself. That is a major part of the college experience.

The best thing I consider about my university is how ethnically diverse the student body is on campus. The level of diversity allows one to feel in-place, socially comfortable, and complete.

Cultural diversity. People are not judged normally here; we are all seen as equals with indivual talents. I feel that life outside the campus is more racist, is more prejudice, and is more judgemental. But inside George Mason's walls, everyone is treated with respect.

The best thing about George Mason University is the free wi-fi wherever you are, classrooms, dorms, dining halls. It is really convenient. This school has the nicest dorm rooms I have ever seen. Most dorms have their own bathrooms and kitchenette which is a huge relief. The food is incredible and healthy. There is only one buffet style dining hall so kids are less susceptible to gaining weight and the various gyms on campus help a lot too. There are too many things I love about my university it is hard to choose only one.

I consider the academic opportunities provided by this institution the best thing about George Mason University. It has so much to offer each individual student with their own cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds as well as provide them with an environment to pursue their career. Through academic advisors, cultural and artisitic activities, and the social network provided by instructors, this school George Mason University expands a student's way of thinking and gives them experiences that will have a lasting effect on their lives.

The diversity is definitely the best part of my school because I have learned more about other cultures this year then I learned from all of my academic classes. It has opened my eyes to people's situations in different parts of the world and made me more aware of the large world that we live in.

I love the student run organizations on campus. There are so many organizations that have been started and are entirely powered by students. This shows the dedication of the students to make a difference in the world around them. These are the types of people a young college student needs around them as they enter this season of life. These are the types of people who will make our country a better place to raise our children.

The best thing about George Mason are the variety of classes offered and great professors who teach. Also the campus is beautiful as well as the City of Fairfax-and it is only about 20 minutes to DC.

The people at GMU are great because they got out of their way to make you feel welcome.

The school has a very relaxed and calming atmosphere. It has a very nice, almost scenic, campus in the middle of a fairly large town, which is far away enough that you can't hear the town, but close enough that its only a bus ride away (free to students).

The large amount of school spirit. With all of the student body coming together to support the school's sports teams, it creates a sense of family and close bonds with friends.

I love the location. I want to work in politics one day and being 20 minutes from D.C. is just perfect. You don't get the busy traffic of living in the city, but you're still close enough to it to commute.

Hands down the best thing about our school is it's massive level of diversity. George Mason is one of the most diverse schools in the country, which I belive is one of the main reasons it attracts so many new freshman each year, because these kids know that once they're accepted that they will find a place to belong.

The best thing about my school is the diversity. You constantly see many people that are from different backgrounds and ethnicities. I love this about my school because it makes us unique. It shows how far the United States has come from a past that not many people are proud of. The diversity shows the true colors that the U.S. now stands for.

It accepts lots of different kids: some who messed up in high school, some who messed up in the college application process, kids from overseas. It's not a bad facility, it's a little too easy but it has nice resources and it tries hard.

I love the diversity. There are so many people here, so you can find whatever types of people you want, you just have to look. I love the location. Northern Virginia has everything. I love how close DC is without having to deal with the inconvience and dangers of living in a big city.

The best thing about my school is the freedom to be who you want to be. My school gives you the tools to succeed in any way you want to. At the same time there is an emotional and social support to continue to do what you want to do . Also there is very few judgemnet on on your progress or your choices.

The best thing about my school has to be the way it feels like im going to a small school but a big school at the same time. It feels like a small school because all the students tend to know a lot of the other students, there are plenty of small classes to choose from and the campus is concentrated in one area. It feels like a big school because it is close to d.c., there are large lectures and our school is becoming well known across the nation both for basketball and academics.

The best attributes I believe George Mason University posseses is its diversity, and eagerness in pushing its students to strive for a better tomorrow. I believe the latter is true due to my overall experience at George Mason.

The best thing about George Mason University is that the professors encourage you to achieve greatness. I love being challenged academically in an environment where the teachers want to see you work hard, but most importantly, succeed. It is extremely rewarding to work towards a goal that your professors are there to help you with every step of the way if need be. Although it can amount to a lot of time used studying, researching, and learning, it is worth receiving the education that will enable us to chase our career dreams and help change the world.

I have been part of the George Mason community even before I became a student at the university. I have been part of what connects students, from the motivation of college enrichment programs, that go into the middle class communities, and give knowledge to the youth about college and what can be attained by striving for those goals. I have become a better person by going to college, and I really can not picture myslef being anywhere but Mason. The diversity is something I define my identity within the campus and within its colorful students.

I consider the best thing about my school to be the location. There is a lot of things to do, that keep you away from the trouble and pressures of college parties.

I like that there is a lot of ethnic and racial diversity on campus; especially since George Mason is centered in a transit area the campus reflects that The world is not made of people of just one race or ethnicity so why should someone limit their selves to colleges with no diversity. Going to George Mason gives you a chance a experience and make friends from different cultures.

At Mason, school is school. I transfered, so am older than many other students. I work full time, as well as being a full-time student. This is difficult, but since Mason is largely a commuter school, I do not feel alone in this; it is nice to share and receive support. Through my major classes and some fun electives I've taken, I've been able to meet some great people, who are different from the type of people I usually encounter just passing time on campus (younger people heavily involved in greek life).

George Mason has the programs that I need to take for before I get into a pharmacy school and it is also very close to my house. I thing this is the best thing about this school.

I think the best thing about my school is the availability of so many different resources. Whether it is the facilities, different and interesting courses, student organizations, or university events, I am never amazed at the number of different activities available to George Mason Univesity students. This surely can sidetrack even the most dedicated student, but it is nice to know that there is always something to do other than study.

The best thing about my school is that it is so close to home. I lived on campus for my first semester and did not enjoy it so i was able to commute this year which is great. Also, fairfax is near everything. Washington DC is only 40 minutes away and there are plenty of activities to do around the area.
