The College has been a wonderful to go through since I started my freshman year.

I think it is a great school. A really friendly environment and the size of campus could not be better.

I would say the best thing about this school is the small class size. Most classes range from about 30 students to about 60 students, and I currently have a class with 11 students. The smaller class sizes allow a better relationship with other students in your class and the professors as well. We also have a beautiful campus. The groundskeepers do a great job keeping up the beauty and elegance that our campus has to offer. One thing that I wish we had would be more on campus restaurants, but Chick-fil-A and Einstein's bagels usually get the job done. Milledgeville is definitely a college town; it would be a ghost town without GC and GMC. When people hear that I go to Georgia College, they usually bring up the mental institutions. We had the largest set of mental institutions in the country (now most of them are closed down which means it's even creepier driving around that area), and that coupled with the historic district make for a rich, interesting history.

Overall, I enjoy attending GCSU. It's close to home and isn't so big that I can't find my way around campus easily. I like the small class sizes giving students the ability to connect with professors on a more personal level. The campus is beautiful, and I feel completely safe and secure walking around by myself. I generally spend most of my time on campus in the library. The environment is perfect for helping me stay focused while studying for exams or working on projects. The only complaint I would have about the college is that there is not much to do in the surrounding community. When I hear other students talking about the college, this factor is the major sticking point as to why many people go home every weekend. My experience in my first year and a half here has been life-changing. I have grown up and learned to truely live on my own. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

The best thing about Georgia College I believe is how close everyone is. There is no way that you can come to this school and not find something in common with one of the students in your classroom. There is always something going on for you to get involved or for you to get to know other students. Also, downtown Milledgeville is very closely tied into the college since it is in walking distance from campus. Everyone will tell you that milledgeville is a fun and great place to be. The school is not so big that you get lost or you see a new face everyday and it's not too small where you know everyone in the school. It is perfect size to where the classes can still be small and you can still get that one on one time with your teacher. Finally, the classes will really get you ready for whatever you want to do when you graduate, yes the classes might be hard, but you will be prepared when you walk out these doors to start in the real world.

I don't attend the biggest university in the state by far. However, I don't feel as if that puts me at a disadvantage. To the contrary, I enjoy seeing familiar, friendly faces almost every day, while yet managing to meet new people along the way. My professors have all been helpful and dedicated to their work. For someone who's looking for quality over quantity, my school is a nice option.
