gettysburg has just the right number of students for me! i love the small atmosphere and ability to feel comfortable approaching professors. people actually are surprised when i tell them i go to gettysburg... i dont know if its a good surprise or a bad one, hahaha- but i know some alumni (now in their late 40s-early 50s) and they obviously were overjoyed! i like their reactions the best. i spend most of my time studying and studying EVERYWHERE! gettysburg is great... they leave ALL of the educational buildings and the library open 24 hours a day! so you can go to your favorite building and do homework all night... sounds great right? i also spend lots of time at the 'pizza house'- not affliated with the college, but delicous and cheap food for those late nights (open until 1am)- the gettysburg town is... interesting- but you dont need a car for the most part. most frequent student complaints would have to be when the laundry machine break, horrible!, and the many gettysburg course requirements- ie. taking a language for up to 4 semesters

I like the gettysburg administration and I love all of the faculty. However gettysburg is really really boring to me, there is nothing fun to do. The best thing about gettysburg is the size allows you to haev person relationships with your professors.

The best thing about Gettysburg is the campus. Even though it is a small school the campus is beautiful. It is widespread with gorgeous architecture and a nice enclosed feel. It has a very safe feel and I never once felt like I was in danger. One thing that I might change about the college is the intense amount of time devoted to Greek life. Although I do like having Greek life it is a very large part of the social life here. For me Gettysburg is a perfect size. It is quite small but I knew that going in and to me, it doesnt feel too small. I still feel like there are many people I still do not know and many things I have yet to experience. When I tell people I go to Gettysburg, they automaticaly think all there is to do is go to the battlefields. Contrary to popular belief though there is a lot to do on campus, especially at night. What is great as well is that you do not need to take a taxi anywhere which is the case for many college students going out on weekends. I spend most of my time at Gettysburg in my dorm. I have a great hall and we all get along very well. Gettysburg is a nice college town but it is small. Although I do not know a great deal about Gettysburg administration what I do know about it is positive. They seem fair, organized and very willing to work with you. I have yet to experience a big controvery on campus. I feel there is quite a bit of school pride even though it is a division three school. We recently had a banner day which revealed individual banners to each team who had one a conference championship. It was quite amazing to see how many people were there to support the teams. I think Gettysburg incredibly social life is quite unique to other schools living in a similar area. Most people are surprised to hear that there is so much going on during the weekends. This year I missed quite a lot of school due to illness and I thought I would need to drop the semester. All my friends told me that would be best since I had missed at least ten classes in each of my subjects. The teachers were so helpful that not only was I able to finish the semester but I came out with a very good GPA. I will never forget the effort they made to make it easier for me. The most frequent student complaints come from the ambiguity of the honor code that we have here.
