What are the most popular classes offered?

The classes most popular among students, and consequently those hardest to get into, are usually general education courses that the vast majority of students are required to take: things like biology, chemistry, physics, and the like. These are some of the university's largest classes in an attempt to accommodate as many students' schedules as possible. While you will almost certainly get a spot in one of these classes if you need it, you NEED to register for them early in order to secure a spot in a section that fits well with the schedule you want and that does not collide with other classes that may not have other offerings that you can take. Other than the general education courses, the same advice applies to Honors courses, most of which are very small, fill up very quickly, and typically only have one or two sections that you can take.
