Hardin-Simmons University is my dream college. I have visited about 5 times and each time it's different when walking on campus. The academics are great and everyone is so nice. The staff are always helpful and it is a great Christian environment to be in.
I think Hardin Simmons is a great school to attend. All of the professors there are very friendly and really care that we succeed. The amount of friends you make while there is also incredible. Overall, the school is a great place to get your education along with learning more about yourself and the type of person you are and where you fit in.
Hardin-Simmons University is definitely a second home, there is so much of a family feel around campus. Professors and faculty are very helpful and supportive not only academically but also personally. They genuinely want to know their students as people, not as numbers.
Hardin-Simmons University is a safe and exciting place to further your education. There are many opportunities for students on and off campus, and the area is great for student life. Academics are fantastic, professors are extremely helpful, and student life is fantastic. And it is a very safe baptist university with sound Christian values and caring people. If my mother felt safe dropping me off for my first year by myself here, then it really is safe!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Hardin-Simmons University is 87%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would definitely tell myself that it does not matter how well you do in high school (to a certain degree) because college is a whole different ball game. I also tell myself to never get discouraged.
The mission of Hardin - Simmons is to provide a great education with skilled professors and a friendly, faith oriented environment. I think that is the greatest thing about this university.
There are alot of things; Cowboy Football, Cowboy Band, an Eduacation enlightened with Faith. HSU is a great place to go, I like it, I just wish there was more scholarship money out there.
The chapel here is amazing. Its a unique experience every time you go.
Plainview High School provided a solid education, but lacked in some areas. We had a great number of students for the size of our building. There were many female students pregnant, fathers/soon to be fathers, gangs and uncaring students throughout school. The school is 72% hispanic/mexican, 24% white, and 4% black students. It's tough being the minority in a hispanic/mexican majority town. Sure, the school held great memories, but everyone I spoke to agrees, "we have to get out of here." I concur with their statements. I felt relief to move to Abilene in the fall.
I would say the activity on the weekends are very low because it seems as if everyone is home.
The Dorms/On campus living conditions.
There are two kinds of students here; the quiet thoughtull kind and the outspoken curious kind.
Students who long to grow as an individual and want an education enlightened by faith. Hardin-Simmons is a small university where teachers care about you and your education. They will go to great lengths to see you succeed!
That abundance of resources available.
If your not looking for an education just a college to party at Hardin-Simmons is not your college.
The professors are easily accessible, the campus if the most beautiful spot in Abilene, and there is always something fun to do. God moves in amazing ways on this campus and my life has been forever changed here.
