What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

Shanice

The stereotype at The University of Montana in Missoula, MT is one of outdoor origins. This is because the UM campus is nestled right up against Mount Sentinel in addition to the Clark Fork River. The University has a stereotype of "natural living," commonly referred to as the "Hippy" style of living. Don't let this scare you off! Missoula is an extremely welcoming place of all walks of life. Because the campus is so near mountains and rivers, Missoula is a great place to do anything outdoors, however, don't be fooled by the stereotype because we have great restaurants, bars, and sports teams to watch, just like another other place.
