The worst thing about Indiana University is that there are not enough food choices in the dorm dining halls. As dumb as that sounds, that's the only thing bad I can think of.

Financial aid for out of state students is difficult in the college of arts and sciences.

Many introductory classes are very large.

Parking and advising. Parking on campus is pretty much impossible without a permit. and even if you have one, it still is really difficult. and the advisors really suck. they dont really help you out all that much and you are basically on your own at times.

My school is very bad at taking care of snow and ice during the winter! It can be very dangerous and annoying to walk through snow when it's not completely shoveled off the side walks.

Sometimes there were professors who really should not have been teaching - I understand the tenure position, but sometimes there were faculty who were awful teachers and did not have the necessary skills to run a classroom and keep students happy and engaged. There should be a bit more stringent review process.

Lack of on-campus parking.

I was very satisfied with Indiana University. It is difficult to find something that was considered "the worst." If I was forced to choose something, I would say the time between classes is not long enough if your next class is across campus.

I don't think there's a 'worst' thing about IUB. There are some disadvantages like not enough classes offered at freshman level. Other than than IUB has a lot to offer you just have to look.

To me, the only really negative aspect about this university is that out-of-state tution is substantially higher than in-state tution. Additionally, it appears that the amount of in-state scholarships available and accessible is also higher. I understand that this is a state school, but it would be nice if they had some type of program worked out for students from adjacent states to ease the burden of tuition.

Faculty and staff don't seem to give a shit about me on a larger level. Occasionally, and on a personal basis, a professor or two with not much clout stands out. I feel my parents are being raped for their money, and don't even get me started about the sinister, money grubbing college-gods that abide in the music school, robbing aspiring artists of not only money, but creative ingenuity and orginality.

I think the worst part about my school would be the parking situation. There are not enough spaces on campus to park. I believe many faculty and students drive and the parking availability is limited.

There is a good amount of busy work.

I grew up in a big city, so moving to a place in the middle of nowhere was awful. I miss the city. But, you get used to it.

Many of the students who come to IU see the school as a top party school in the nation. It takes away from the classroom experience and learning when side coversations are always about how much you drank last night and where the next big party is going to be.

To have a social life around campus, it is almost required that you drink alcohol or take care of those you know drinking alcohol even if you are underage.

That it ended. I loved every minute I spent there. It's an underrated school with so much opportunity and a plythora of amazing people just waiting to be your friend.

The worst part about Indiana University is the cost of school. It is a very expensive state school compared to other states.

It's rather difficult walking to class when there is great deal of precipitation, whether it be rain, sleet, or snow. It usually takes most students ten to fifteen minutes to make it to class so it can be kinda depressing when your soaked and have to sit through a two hour lecture.

I love this school. Its my home.

The transportation to get home. There is a shuttle bus into Indianapolis but it only goes to the airport, you then have to take a cab to get to the train station for the train or the MegaBus. The shuttle runs frequently but I just don't get why it can't go to both the airport and the train station.

The desks located in Ballentine hall. They are the most uncomfortable desks in the school.

The worst thing about the school is sometimes its hard to find and meet students outside your major, but i think that would be true at any large schools.

It's such a big school that is may be difficult to find that group of friends you may be looking for.

Probably the rivalry between social classes.

The worst thing about Indiana University is that it probably rains more than it's sunny, and that the campus itself is quite large to walk from one end to the other.

I think that the worst thing about our school is the greek organizations. They are very judgemental and will only hang out with those that are also in a greek house. The system in which they choose who gets to be in them is very disappointing.

The worst thing about this school when you are out of state is the cost of tutition. This is a very expensive school to afford and purchasing books doesn't help the cause either. Also there is a lot of competition between the fraternities and sororities on this campus. Sometimes i feel like people think they are better than others just because of the letters that they wear. Also sometimes it is hard to gain attention from teachers when there are large lecture halls and other times classes are taught by graduates.

The worst thing about my school is the campus food, but the food that is not on campus is great.

The worst thing about Indiana University is the invisibility of many extracurricular activities. Although copious amounts are available, students sometimes struggle to discover them. If the university compiled a list of all extracurricular groups (clubs, sports, political groups, etc?.) and made it easily accessible and well known, it is very likely that a much greater portion of students would participate.

I think that the worst thing about my school is the system in which greek organizations are ranked. There is a big emphasis on sororities and fraternities and which ones are the best or worst which really lowers a person's self esteem.

Out of state tuition is incomparably higher than in state tuition

The worst thing about my school was the advisors. They didn't help at all with my graduation and actually caused me to not be able to graduate when I was suppose to.

I think financial aid, but that's just my experience. Even though my family has had a very hard time getting by, we're considered financially stable by this school and the government. Even scholarship programs won't give me any money. I've only been able to get loans to help pay, and I'm not looking forward to having to pay all that money back in the future. It'll take years! There are just too many students here, so it's hard for most to get financial aid.

There are too many people. I understand that it is a state school, and that's part of the good thing, that there are a lot of different backgrounds represented here. But at the same time, it keeps getting bigger without the campus growing. The incoming freshman class this year was the largest in school history and we've had people staying in lounges because we don't have rooms for them.

The worst thing about Indiana University is how expense the food is on campus. This include food from the dorms, library, and other fast food places owned by the University. It seems that the food places are all a scam. At the dorms bottle water can cost 3.50 which is outragous. A bagel at the library costs about 3 dollars as well.

The cost of attendence, tuition, books, food, rent, utilities, social activities, ect.

It is extremely expensive.

Education in my particular school is considered to be competition. However, I am invested in my education simply out of a desire to learn. Most of the students here live for the weekends and base their friendships and weekend activities solely around alcohol.

The worst thing about thsi school in my opinion is that most classes have a lot of students in them. A few of my classes are smaller, but the majority of my classes are large lecture halls. You have to make a point to go into the professors office hours to get extra help and to make sure that you understand the material. It is not hard to go to office hours, however, and the professors are always very helpful.

The worst thing about IU would be the parking situation. It is ofen difficult to find parking on campus and how difficult it can be to get back on campus.

Binge Drinking and drug use.

The greek life is great, but the fraternities and sororities are always talking bad about other fraternities and sororities. There are stereo types for each one. During greek events it can be hard to meet certain houses because of this. I really disagree with how sororities pick the girls who will be living in their houses in the future. I just do not understand how you can fully understand someone with a couple conversations.

Diversity. Most people are white middle class from Indiana.
