Iowa State University is a school that caters perfectly to most students who fall into three catagories: those who want to fit in by doing unsavory things such as drinking or having sex, those who have their nose buried in a book for every waking moment while they strive for a perfect GPA, and those who don't take college seriously and play video games all day; however, there are a few socially adroit students/student groups who are gems and don't buy into those lies.

My school is very diverse and loves to challege it's students to be all that they can be in order to better the world once they graduate.

There are a lot of really good, well educated professors but they like to stick the foreign ones that you cannot understand in the hard classes like microeconomics so that it makes those classes that much harder. Its VERY irritating... Professors are very self-absorbed as well. I hate some of my classes just because of the professors.

If you are use to city living I would not advise attending my school for the simple fact that there is litle to do for fun other then going to fairly boring and repetitive house parties.
