My school is best known for most the amount of students joining the peace corps after graduating. We have a great number of students who care about helping those in need, especially people from third world countries. They also see it as a great opportunity to broaden their knowledge and experience other cultures.

My school is best known fo our Arts department. We thrive on excellence in the arts wether it be Visual or Performing. We are also highly acclaimed for our Nursing Program.

The students, or "dukes," of James Madison University are friendly and outgoing. As you walk around campus you will run into people who are happy to meet new faces and students who will treat strangers as friends. I believe James Madison University is best known for the students who attend and the achievements they make during and after their years at Madison. Even if they include small acts of kindness.

One of the students dresses up as James Madison on a regular basis and comes to campus events and goes to the dining halls. Everyone likes to take pictures with her, and it's just a lot of fun.

My favorite campus traditions are laying out on the Quad, going to football games, and participating in the arts. I love to just hang out with friends around campus.

Depending on what aspect you're coming from, JMU is known for quite a bit. As of late, there was Springfest and major drinking. But, academically they are known for many of their undergraduate and graduate programs alike. They are also well known for their on campus food.

James Madison University is best known for its outstanding business program. Also, this school is characterized by great dining hall food, new facilities, and weekend parties. There is a tremendous amount of school spirit where the campus literally goes purple and gold on the days of planned tours of prospective students and sports events.

My school is best known for our school spirit and kindness. Everyone here is willing to help each other when in need, if you are lost on campus dont be shy anyone will guide you or even walk you to where you need to go. School spirit is also something that we have ALOT of, purple and gold everywhere you go.

Everyone holds the door open, and everyone says "Thanks". Its simple, but it says a lot. Students care about other students. We are courteous, helpful, and energetic. Students are welcoming, they greet others with smiles. Wheatear they are holding the door for you as you a running into a building late for class, or casually walking across the quad on a sunny. The quad is another well know area of JMU. There are beautiful brickstone buildings that surround a lawn that, if it?s sunny, will be filled with students reading, tossing a football, or gathering to chat in groups.

James Madison is usually best known for being a strong academic institution. Recently, however, that has begun to change. As the culture of drinking grows on and off campus, JMU is quickly being known most notably as a party school. As more students come to the university because of its drinking reputation, the more the drinking culture spreads throughout the JMU community.

Southern Connecticut State University is one of the four state universities in Connecticut. Southern was founded as a teachers college, which was one of the draws for me. Today, many students at Southern concentrate in education and teaching, but there are numerous other programs that are now offered as well (116 graduate and undergraduate programs offered). Southern is also known for its ability to accommodate a wide-range of student scheduling needs, with its part-time/full-time, day/evening courses, and summer course offerings to name a few.

Great parties. Everyone that attends other schools in Virginia recognizes JMU as a big party school and rightfully so. The business program is a good one but extremely difficult to get in to and tons of people drop out when they don't make it into the College of Business.

Recently, JMU has been known for the success of our varsity football team. Our Business program is ranked throughout the nation. The campus is beautiful with plenty of new buildings on the way including dorms, foot courts, and a stadium. Aside from that, JMU is known for being a "party" school but with upstanding academic students who are involved in plenty of charitable causes, that shouldn't be a focus.

JMU is best known for its outstanding school spirit and friendlyness. We are always wearing school paraphernalia, and we love to talk to and hang out with prospective students who want to join us at this school. We show huge school spirit at our sports games, where it is a sea of purple of gold. JMU is also known for its academics- they are not too tough but are by no means easy. Our academics prepare us for a successful life after college.

JMU is known for being a big party school, with hundreds of different parties going on at the off-campus housing apartments each weekend. It's also known for having a high female-to-male ratio and very little diversity.
