What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I would have wanted to know what types of classes that I would need to take for a certain degree. I began taking classes that I really did not need to take, thus it took longer to get my degree.

Every class grade will stay with you forever. Make sure to take each class seriously or else you will end up paying more in the long run in time and money. You can be successful in everything as long as you put in a little more effort than you feel is necessary. It's always better to do more and do better than to do the minimum and sell yourself short.

How to study. I was never very good at studying, and no one really bothered to teach me good study habits. I was caught unprepared and now I'm trying to catch myself up.
