If you are someone that waits till the last minute to complete assignments or don't put forth 100% in your education this is not the school for you. High expections are required by the faculty, which requires hard work for you to be successful upon graduation.
Some one who is not focused and discipline will no doubt have a difficult time, because there is not one to tell you what needs to be done. You have to learn to manage you time wisely and always have work and yourself on time.

When attending Lamar University, you must be open-minded, out-going, and sociable. It's a very small campus and in order to meet people and branch out, you have to be able to communicate very well. You should also be culturally diverse. There are many different cultures/ races at Lamar, it it would really help in your studies if you have knowledege of them all.
The kind of person who should not attend this school is a person who does not intend to try to succeed, or a person who just wants to fool around. A person that is not interested in higher education or obtaining a legit degree should probably not attend this school.
The only type of person who shouldn't attend this school, is a person who doesn't want to attend a school next to a plant. There's a plant across the highway, but that's easy to ignore. Other than that, no one should not attend this scool.
If one has a persona of laziness, and a slackers mentality they should not attend Lamar University. Yet, honestly, the University in itself has ways of teaching lessons that need to be learned, especially as a freshman, and in turn will cause eyes to be opened and a yearning for learning!
