The advise that I would give to parents and/or students about finding the right college is to find one that is affordable but at the same time, a college that offers a good program for the students and offers an opportunity to work in a good internship that will help them in their careers. Also look at the campus and how big or small it is. The location of the campus is also important because students may like the countryside or the city. It always helps to know where you are going. As far as college experience goes, students should be more active in their college of their choice. They should participate in events or clubs which is a good way to make friends. When it goes to schoolwork like tests and exams, study groups always helps the students compare notes from other students and also make quick friends. The college professors and faculty are lifesavers because they always going to help the students because that is their job and also to get the students reaching new heights. The students can always get help from professors when they get stuck in their schoolwork and what to expect in class.

be aware of the career path that you want. Make a decision about your intended major based on what you feel is right for you. try to get a head start with your college courses by taking the basics like math english and at a community college or a state college, so that you wont spend thousands of dollars on courses that you could have completed at a less expensive institute.

When I was in high school picking a college that matched my needs was a crucial point in my life. i started to look at colleges at the end of my junior year in high school. looking back on the experience i wish i started visiting and researching for colleges way earlier. When looking for the right college for yourself or for your child it's important that you realize your spending money for the university to meet your needs, not the other way around. Why pay for a college that doesn't meet your needs? my advice would be start early prepare for standardized exams, constantly revise the resume, visit colleges, and research the university and every aspect of it. For me the key element to make the most of your college experience is to manage time and to have a good mix of school and fun. college is a very serious time for some but not matter what people need breaks and to interact with friends, college is the best time of people lives so work hard and have some fun along the way

At Long Island University, I have been a student mentor for three years. My main task is to greet freshmen and make them feel comfortable in this school living a college life. Majority of the students that enter any college come in without a single thought about their future plans or career goals. The first tthing I would advise is take a look aroung the campus. Get an idea of everything it has to offer-from career opportunities to social activities. A well established college should be able to satisfy a diverse population with different interests. Before choosing a college, make sure you consider these criteria: look at the loctaion of the school. Do you see yourself going there for the next 4-6 years. How long will the commute be? Are dorms available? Do you see yourself getting the education you demand? The main thing that I would preach is not to waste any time. Try to pick a field as soon as possible and when persuing it, give it your all. With in their freshmen year, while about 20{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of students will drop out, the rest will either persue a desired career, or try out different career options.

The most important things to think about when you choosing a college are the following: first, the reputation of this college. second, the major, does this college good for your major. Then, the location of the college, is it affordable, or does this college worth it? of course, the professor, diversity of students, campus safety and classroom size are very important also.

My advice iss about finiding the right college and making the most of the college experience would be based on student's major and parent ability to pay for college. Some of us dont get any finacial help or sholarships and thats when thousand of dollars comes out from your's parents packets. If you cannot afford certain school apply to a school that's also as great but cheaper. Cheaper schools like community colleges doesnt mean they are worse then private school just because they are cheaper, what you should keep in mind is overall sucess. To make the best experience in college is a must to join clubs, organizations that give back to the community. Make friends with people that are different then you. You will make friendships that will last a lifetime and what's greater than celebrating different holidays, knowing your friend's traditions and beliefs after all you will be like a "big different family". Do something that is good ,volunteer, participate in Breast Cancer Walk, Blood Drive, do a Homecoming and what's most important is to study study study fullfil your major's requirement and graduate with a job placement on time.

Make sure that when you visit the college, you'd be able to look at everything and call it home. Nothing is more refreshing than being able to go somewhere else, where you can get a good education within the field of your choice, where you feel comfortable, and you know in your heart only the best can be achieved in that college.

The advice I would give to parents or students about finding the right college and making the most of the college experience is that, do not choose a college only based on it's academic. Don't get me wrong, Academic is very important when choosing the right college isn't that why we are going to college in the first place, but my point is that there are other aspects of choosing the right college such as, the environment, location, cost, faculty & staff, diversity of students., the activities the college offers on campus as well outside of campus, the dorm life, and every college student wants to experience the "party life" and join frats and sororities to fit in, The post graduate jobs. There are many things to take into consideration besides academic. I mean you don't want your child or yourself seeing the campus dead on weekends if you choose just based on academic and not campus life. Every student must experience campus life or else you?re not getting the real deal. But when choosing, take everything into consideration but Academic should be the most important when making a decision but take the rest into consideration.

I would tell people who are searching for the right place to attend college to make sure that they visit the school before applying because websites could be false advertisement. Make sure that your going to feel just like your at home when you choose a college and check out the surroundings on campus.

I would say that the easiest way to pick the right school for you is to list what you want from you school, anything from the smallest to the largest details, and then start looking for the right match in areas you most love to spend your time.

If I could give advice to those looking at colleges or helping people look for college, I would advise them to remember to visit the colleges they are looking at. It is a very important part of their decision because you want to know what the college is like, how it runs, what the people are like that attend that college. It is also important that you like the location because it is where you will be living for the amount of years you are going to attend. Also, make sure that college has your major, has available financial aid, has career centers, and classes that will help your major.
