This very small, intimate college (about 800 students) is completely dedicated to fields in the healthcare industry and is affiliated with the biggest hospital in the state of Iowa. The curriculum is very rigorous and challenging, and this is great for me because I am going back to school after 10 years in another profession, so I am not looking to "sail through." They also let me take the nursing program at my own pace, as opposed to the community college, which forces nursing students to take a prescribed curriculum in a prescribed timeframe.
At Mercy, there are many certificate and degree programs as well as day, evening and web based classes to fit just about anyone's schedule.
