I don't think MSU attracts a certain type of person, however, I think that a person must like the size of the campus, be open, friendly, fun, and have a want to learn.

Someone who can handle a larger school, wants a great chance to grow, and is ready for change. This school has a lot of opportunities but you have to go out and find them and pusue them. You must be somewhat outgoing or at least willing to ask questions. You also have to be academically inclined or at least have the will to do well in classes.

Any kind of person could attend this school, it doesn't matter at all what you are interesterd in, they have it. If you think you won;t fit in give it time and you will find friends here.

I know lots of different kinds of people who go here, but it's definitely more of a liberal school than a conservative one. If you like meeting lots of new people, its for you. There are tons of things to do on or near campus, whether you like to party hard or if you're more G rated.

I believe there are around 35,000 students per semester here, so you better be prepared to deal with a lot of strangers on campus, as well as the classroom. This school can get a bit rowdy on the weekend especially during football and basketball seasons. Michigan State University is a school that balances academic success with social interactions. Those planning to attend MSU should have a strong desire to excel in shool while also having fun and making new friends.

If you're looking for a school with a wide range of studies, and opportunities to work in that field while attending classes. At the same time the colleges within MSU, such as Lyman Briggs College or James Madison College, provided that sense of a smaller community with more intimate class settings and more one-on-one time with your professors. Activities ranging from: intermural sports, free concerts, plays, volunteer work, movies, and much more are all available for students to relax. Pretty much anyone can find a niche in a school like this. There's something for everyone.

The campus has a lot of great facilities and trails for fitness and exercise so people who love the outdoors and staying it shape would enjoy this campus. I believe that one should have an idea of where they want to go in life while attending this university because it is a great place to learn and has a lot of diverse degree choices but too costly to change ones mind about which major they want to study.

Any kind of persn can attend. There are many people from different backgrounds. We have people from Michigan, people from out of state, and a large amount of international students as well. Everyone blends in nicely and finds their own niche.

If someone wants to attend Michigan State University, they should also be involved with campus functions such as fraternities/sororities, clubs, or volunteer opportunities.

We have stoners, jocks, alcoholics, laid back peeps, video gamers, variety of ethnicities, gays, conservatives, republicans, liberals, frats, exercise aholics, climbers, goof offs, writers, emos, smokers... its a big school but there are soooo many little communities that make it up. It allows for so much variety, only problem is it takes time to find your group since you have to sift through so many people to get to your place. Might feel lonely and out of place in the beginning- dont worry, sophmore- junior year you'll find it.

A person who is very independent and on there own should attend this school. You need to be very focused and should have an idea of what degree you would like to pursue. Also, someone who is very friendly because there are so many people to meet.

I would reccomend this school to two kinds of people. For those that like to fit in, drinking and watching football or basketball is very common. This is how the majority of students on campus collctively work together. For those that do not wish to fit in and desire to make positive change in this world there are many options and outlets available but they are mostly in their infancy, which in my opinion is the best place to be.

Michigan State University is a very big and social school so I believe it would definitely help you if you are an outgoing person. The sporting events are great and it has many great memories.
