What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?


Don't take O-week seriously.


How small the Humanities Department actually is if you are not an STC (Scientific and Technical Communication) major.


It is a very difficult curriculum.


I wish I would have know that I was going to end up switching majors. I really like the faculty and they are really helpful but I am not sure now that i am going to the right school for my new major now.


I would have been better off in college if I would have established good a good work ethic and study habits before starting. It is much harder to play catch up in college than in high school.


The importance knowledge gained from education has on your future. Most people would believe getting the degree is the goal. The knowledge ascertained from the degree, is worth more than the degree in my opinion!

How much of a hassle parking is. You can't park on any roads or parking lots from 2-7am November through April. If you live downtown, you have to pay for a parking permit. There is no free parking on campus, and Public Safety will wait until your meter runs out and give you a ticket, even if you're standing right there!

Before coming to this school I knew of the academic responsibilities I would be facing. Though I wish I would have known more about the depth of the programs being taught. I feel like my high school education was behind that of many of my college classmates. If I would have known this, I would have spent more time in high school preparing for harder math and science courses.


How to properly prepare for cold weather.
