It's close to home. Which means i can always consult my parents or see them anytime i want.
I consider the sizes of the classes and the dorm rooms the best things. The classes don't have much more than 40 students max, so its easier for the professors to get to know you. It also makes it easier to get one on one help from the professors. Almost all of the dorms let you have a room to yourself and all you have to share is a bathroom. This makes it much easier to have privacy and helps me stay focused when I want to block distractions to study and do work.
Although I would not say that Middle Georgia College is a particularly great school, it did help me during my transition from high school to college. By attending college, you need to understand that a larger percentage of your time will be spent doing school work, as opposed to the small amount of time you probably spent (or spend) doing your high school homework. Smaller institutions or community colleges, like Middle Georgia College, offer a better teacher/student relationship, and your professors, if you allow it, will end up having a profound impact on your interests and in your life.
The classes are pretty easy and the atmosphere is nice and quiet for the most part and there are things to do lik be in the student center
The best thing about my school is the extra help offered for students struggling in classes. There are tutorial programs offered for students to improve their grades and thats what i like about this school. It does make a difference in students Gpa's because students are gradually improving as they are understanding the material presented in class. It a friendly service and the tutors are always more than happy to assist us at anytime we are having a difficult time.
