What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

The advice that I would give parents about finding the right college would be to visit different campuses and to take into account the type of environment that they are looking for. Students should not let their parents influence them about the college and/or career they want for them. Many students make choices based on their parents interests forgeting about their own selves. Students should visit a variety of campuses before making a decision. The way that you know which campus is right for you is by feeling comfortable and enjoying yourself when being there. In order to make the most of the college experience is to open yourself to learning and experiencing new things. Get involved in activities, volunteer, get a job and you will find out that you will learn things about yourself that you did not even know before. Work hard and stay focused, but have fun and enjoy college life as well. Go out with friends without forgetting about your first priority: to finish your career and make a difference in the world as part of the US workforce.
