The pressure to fit in, to always be out and about and being judged when you want to stay in one night and study. Also the competition between the students whom their parents are alumni and those whom are not, those who are get more scholarship opportunities.
The worse thing about Mount St. Mary's is the heat in the early fall and spring. Some of the rooms do not have air conditioning at this time.
Mount St. Mary's University has a beautiful campus and an excelling learning program, but it is very expensive! I am only surviving at this school thanks to scholarships and financial aid.
The worst thing about the school was that it took an extremely long time to get responses from the administration when it came to securing support/funds for clubs or groups. The professors and people that held positions in authority were very slow to respond when it came time to sponsor or advise a group. This really detracted from the amount of groups on campus that were able to succeed for more than a year at a time.
The worst thing about the school is the location because it is in a small town in the middle of nowhere.
The cost to attend.
the location of the school often makes it very difficult to get to activities off campus, away from the whole university-experience; nothing is very close by, especially with rising fuel costs
The Mount is more focused on making the school aesthetically pleasing then improving the quality of the learning and living facilities. The apartments I will be living in this year have the same furniture that was there when my father attended the school 20+ years ago!!! II find that to be completely unsanitary.
I am really into the performing arts; and although Mount St. Mary's University is not known for its performing arts program, I still wish it was more developed (with an actual theatre, more performance opportunities, etc.).
