Everyone should attend this school. Classroom sizes and tuition are affordable compared to universities and that makes personallized learning available from all of the teachers. My classes have been a mix of people from all walks of life and the people have always been accepting and cheerful of one another.
I think anyone who wants to go to college, even if they have a small idea if they want to attend or not. I think its a great starting place to get use to college level work and it allows you to get to know many types of people of various ages. I also think its especially good for students who just graduated high school and are deciding if college is right for them. Its best, in my opinion to go to a 2 year school first then transfer.
I often refer to my school as the "Land of the lost" ; he students who attend my school are mostly trying to find themselves. I, for instance, was in a haze when I entered college. I did not know what my major was, or who I was. The more I learned about my world, the more I found myself and what I wanted to do with my life. The students who I find myself sitting in class with are often just out of high school looking for the meaning of their lives and where the fit in are world.
The kind of person that should attend my school are the people that enjoy learning. I see many people enroll in a class in the beginning of the semester but by the end half of the students drop out. This could be because they have personal agendas; But I feel that the majority of the people drop out is because lack of drive to succeed. People that attend my school must be goal orientated and very driven.
I think any dedicated student should attend this school. This includes someone who has just graduated high school, a person who is returning to school after break or someone who is looking for a career change. I have met all types of these people on campus and each expresses how they have been successful at MSJC. Most of all someone on a budget should start their education here. I have found it extremely affordable while maintaining a home and raising two children.
Anyone can attend MSJC. I am an athlete and it really allowed me to open my options up for the future. It is a good way to save money and get a great education.
