I wish I had known how important it is to visit the counselor every year to make sure you are on track with the class you need in order to graduate. I also wish I was more involved in the campus activites this school has to offer. Its so important to get involved!
I have known my major since I was 14, but I wish I had known which school I wanted to transfer to. I took the educational route in order to transfer to Cal State or UC school. In the end I opted transferring to a private university. I sadly discovered that many classes I had taken at community college did not transfer. Now I have more work to do next fall at CBU making up extra credits.
One thing that I wish I had known before I came to this school is how to organize myself. If I had known this before I attended my classes, I would have been able to focus more on my work and less on stressing out about what I was missing. Now that I have realized that organization helps tremendously, I know that it will help me to pass my classes. Having my books on time and my stationary ready, I know that I won't fall behind and can study hard in and out of school.
That I could have taken my required courses at the community college level instead of at a private college.
