Ohio State University-Main Campus Top Questions

I really liked Fisher college which is the business school at Ohio State. I like how it's like its own small campus on the rather large campus at Ohio State. Fisher college also has a lot of great opportunities that can be found through the school and there are a lot of business clubs that may help my future career.

I came from a preppy high school and had the preppiest group of friends. We were all expected to go Ivy League or as close as we could get (Vanderbilt, Miami). When I made my list of schools I wanted visit to end of my sophomore year of high school OSU was never on the list. But I got an invitation to visit and my mom made me go. I started to read about the school and I was really surprised how much OSU was improving and what a good school it had become. So I went on the visit with an open mind and fell in love. Everything was perfect. The students were great, the faculty was excited, and the campus was beautiful. I didn't want to admit it but I had pretty much made my college decision after that visit. I visited the schools I was expected to and got accepted. It finally came to make my final decision. I was so stressed. The turning point I will never forget. I was driving to Lowes with my mom and we were talking about my options and I started crying I was so upset. I didn't want to let anyone down but I wanted to go to OSU so badly. When I finally told her I wanted to go to Ohio State she said to me, "Thank God! You belong there." And the rest was history. I don't regret my decision for one minute. And I have to say I have enjoyed my college experience 100 times more than anyone else I went to high school with.

The school has an excellent linguistics program (which is both my minor and a concentration within my major).

I decided to go here because I came from a really small high school and I was ready for something more diverse and more exciting. Ohio State is full of all kinds of opportunities. It also looks really good to be able to say that you graduated from Ohio State as main campus becomes more and more competitive each year.

It's the best school in Ohio

I grew up an Ohio State fan. I went to numerous football games as a kid and fell in the with the atmosphere of the place. There is no where else like it. As Woody Hayes said, "There's only one place you can become a Buckeye." The campus is picturesque and of course you're offered a terrific education.

I decided to attend Ohio State because of the community. When you are on Ohio State's campus, there is a certain pride and unity that is felt amongst everyone there, and that feeling cannot be replaced. I remember wanting to go to Ohio State when I was in middle school, so when I received my acceptance in the middle of my senior year of high school, I was beyond ecstatic. Buckeye nation is a great community, and there is nothing better than singing "Carmen, Ohio," the alma mater, with 100,000 of your closest friends at the end of a victorious football game. GO BUCKS!
