The best thing about Ohio State is all the opportunities available to undergraduates. There is so much to get involved in including club sports, student organizations, volunteer opportunities, concerts, mentoring programs, and major areas of study. You can pretty much do anything at this University, making it a great place to attend when you are trying to figure out who you are.

The people at Ohio State are amazing. The teachers care about students and want you to succeed. You will make friends for life among the thousands of people on campus.

The best thing about The Ohio State University is that they offer a very large amount of Major options that range from Social Work to Communications to Zoololgy. This allows for almost anyone in the world to attend OSU and be satisfied with their choice of major. It would be more difficult not to find an interesting major. Along with that, the school offers many classes that pertain to different majors, in case someone was drawn to multiple majors.

In my opinion, it is the credibility of all the professors, each one that I have encountered engages in constant research and are really masters of their field of study; A student can get an excellent education here if they choose to dive into their subject.

The best thing about my school is the dance program. I have been dancing for three years now and I have been so impressed with OSU's dance department. They offer so many different kinds of dancing, they have professional dancers and choreographers teach your technique classes, and there are endless amounts of guest teachers and speakers that visit who are currently performing and making work professionaly. The networking possibilities that you can create by attending this dance dapratment is outstanding.

The passion everyone has for their studies and for their education, and for our community. Each and every person here is involved in something they care about, whether that be research, volunteering, or the topic they are studying. There are so many oppotunities to find what you are meant to do, and so many different ways to impact the community and be successful. Every person, students and faculty alike, wants to help you succeed and wants to help you discover what OSU can offer you. Everyone is friendly, and motivated and its an amazing atmosphere and experience.

I believe that the size and opportunities at this school is the best. It is very easy to get caught up in school work but all of the fun things that are going on campus and all of the different organizations you can join make Ohio State a lot more exciting. I also love the atmosphere on campus throughout any time of the day. It is always so lively and there are always people walking around. The school spirit is like no other around and the Buckeyes are the best!

The best thing about Ohio State is the community. Everyone is excited to be here and loves being a Buckeye, and everyone is extraordinarily willing to help other Buckeyes.

The best thing about my school is that there is so much diversity, yet so many activities to get everyone involved together. Races of all kinda attend Ohio State, and everyone can work together and meet new people through all of the different activities that are held literally almost every day such as art programs, animal programs, math programs, etc.

The best thing about The Ohio State University is the pride in community. Ohio State is a big school and it is celebrated for its size. The best advantage of my Ohio State is the abundance of opportunities it has provided me. From research to dance clubs, to religious opportunities, to supportive professors, to the beauty of the campus, to the amazing welcoming atmosphere the community gives off Ohio State is the place to be!

The diversity of programs that are present is probably its most contributing factor. Entering as a Freshman, I felt like I knew what I was going to do with my educational studies. As time past, I began leaning toward a different direction and decided to change my major. With the resources and diversity available, I was able to accomplish this with almost no problem. The ability to find another major that fit my wants was simple, and the process of transerring was just as easy.

The atmosphere and energy that surrounds Ohio State is unbeatable. Whether its autumn quarter and we’re all gathered in the Shoe to cheer our team to victory or it’s just a Tuesday night and there is a student organization meeting, at Ohio State, there is always a place to fit in.

The best thing about Ohio State is the school spirit. Sure I appreciate the excellent academic opportunities available to me through this university, but there are many competivie schools out there that offer similar opportunities. The thing that sets Ohio State apart from other schools is the love that the students have for their school. We all want to be here, we're all having a great time, and we're all working hard to accomplish our goals.

By far the best thing about my school is their acceptance of any kind of person. Whether it is a difference between race or personality, each individual is accepted equally. No other school is as accepting as OSU. Along with their acceptance, we actually use the differences in each student in order to pursue a better tomorrow. The combination of different personalities and backgrounds allow us to build upon one another and create new ideas that no one person could think of. No other school gives all the students the oppurtunity to meet this diverse of student body.

The best quality about The Ohio State University is the school spirit. Any buckeye can go anywhere in the world and shout "O-H" and get "I-O" as a response. The amount of alumi that stay in touch with the university show the buckeye nation's lasting impression on a person. Ohio state is just a large school with a small community attitude.

We have a wide variety of classes offered, and every single one is challenging, forcing our minds to work and remained involved. Also, we have several ways to get involved, since the campus is so big, there is no way that some one could not get involved. There is just always something to do, one would never get bored. Also, the athletic events are great and extremely fun to attend.

The best thing about Ohio State is the atmosphere. One would think that since it is located in a big city, all you would see would be concrete and buildings, but that's not the case at all. The beautiful landscaping and trees that line the walkways are a sight to see. The most beautiful part of Ohio State would have to be Mirror Lake.

Ohio State University is a wonderfully diverse campus. As one of our nation’s largest universities, Ohio State is comprised of dedicated faculty and students, who are passionate about learning. With its recent expansion in Shanghai, Ohio State University is becoming recognized as one of the world's truly great universities. However, you cannot talk about Ohio State without mentioning Buckeye Pride. On game days, celebrations last all day long. The campus transforms into a sea of scarlet and gray with students, faculty and alumni standing side-by-side to sing the Alma Mater, “Carmen Ohio”. O-H-I-O !

The best thing would be the abundance of people. Although large lectures can be overwhelming, there is always an opportunity to make a connection with someone. Whether it's faculty, or another student.

The amount of school spirit at OSU is amazing. Everyone is proud to be a Buckeye and this makes the community very strong. To be part of something so huge and energetic is amazing. GO BUCKS!

I would definitely say the level of school spirit at my school is the best thing about it. You can yell "O-H!" on any street corner and you will instantly be greeted with dozens of "I-O!" responses in return. Even though I am far away from my family, I never feel out of place or far from home when on campus because of the companionship surrounding me. The people at my school are my family and The Ohio State University is my home away from home.

The school spirit on Ohio State's campus is great. The professors are always accessible by email( for those late-night questions.) Great research facilities and very knowledgable counselors.

At OSU, you really need to be flexible. But you also need to be savvy... here are some tips... 1) at the beginning of the year, take about 10 plastic forks and spoons from the cafeteria, don't feel bad you pay a lot of tuition!! and you'll need them 2) don't leave your socks in the dryer or the boys next door might just thumb-tack them up in their room (and don't even think about forgetting underwear :p ) 3) If somebody acts weird, ignore them. Happens all the time. Someday you might act weird too.

The best thing about OSU is the quality you are getting for your money. Not only is the football team well-known across the country, but the colleges within the University, such as the Fisher College of Business, are highly ranked in the nation. Companies storm in each spring to try to recruit the best employees, which they know will be OSU graduates! So by attending OSU, you secure your future career, you get bragging rights about your football team, and you develop long-lasting relationships with your fellow students and professors!

Diversity

At Ohio State University Main Campus there is a very large, diverse crowd of interesting people who are all excited about our great campus and being together toward a common goal. It's a great place to mewet new people after high school and get the work started toward our loves. There is a true community feeling which encapsulates the traditons of the university with the newness and enthusiasm of being young and doing something that can change our lives and the lives of our generation.

The diversity of the teachers and students. They come from all over the world.

Excellent education for what field I am studying.

The Scholars programs, one of which I am in. I think they're a great way to make such a massive institution smaller and more managable for those of us who come from small schools [my graduating class had 40 students] and it is also an easy way to meet people with very similar interests.

The best thing about my school is the wealth of opportunities that are available because of such a large number of people in a thriving city. My options for future internships, careers, co-ops are expanded because of the connections I have here through teachers, advisors, and business people that frequently visit the campus looking for employees.

I consider the prestige of my school the best thing. I am from Ohio and i know that everybody in this state wants to attend the Ohio State University. I went to Florida over the summer going into my Freshman year of college and even people from Florida thought it was awesome that I would be attending the Ohio State University.

"Thee Ohio State University" has an infinite number of positive things to offer its students, but the thing that I find the most appealing is the quality of instructors that work their. The professors at O.S.U. are considered experts in their feilds and they bring a great deal of knowledge into the classes they teach.

Tradition is the best thing about Ohio State. Everyone here is united in their love for the school. Alumni are here to care for us and we have tradition passed down from generations and generations. It really can't be beat. So many memories can be made here and there are more opportunities here than any other school. I love all the people I've met and all the opportunites I've already embraced. Ohio State is perfect in every way. The people are friendly, the teachers are good, and truly anything is possible here.

The large classes, because I learn well in a larger environment.

The best thing about this school is all of the oppurtunities that are availible. Here there are numerous activities that will help with your learning experience or that is just fun to do and give you a understanding of something new and interesting.

The atmosphere. There is a constant stream of activities that are planned for students to participate in, many of them being free, so that you will never be bored. One day there will be a showing of Boondock Saints the next day there is the Yule Tide Ball. :) With so many clubs and activities, if you find yourself bored and without plans then it is all your fault.

OSU is a well known school and is highly accredited. It looks good on job applications.

I believe the best thing about my school is the diversity. I really like how there are many different students of different enthnicities and with different backgrounds. With this school having over 50,000 students this is expected, but I have no experienced any diversity like this before. In my high school, it was basically just black, white, or bi-racial. Since my school has so much to offer it is kind of hard to just pick the best thing, so another thing I like is the fact that research is so important here.

There is something here for everyone.

The best thing about my school would have to be the people. There are various types of people from all over the state, country, and world present at this university. I can have an interesting conversation at any time because I am surrounded by people who have had different experiences and have different beliefs than I do. Life is never boring at Ohio State. Just moving into the dorms offers students the opportunity to become submerged in a variety of cultures and ethnicities. It is intriguing to learn how others live and think, and OSU allows you to do this.

The quality of the education and curriculum is the reason I decided on OSU. I also enjoy the campus and the people I have met. I am hoping the friendships I have made are ever-lasting. Although I spend a lot of time studying, I feel I have learned to manage my time well enough to allow for plenty of free time to enjoy my friends and the many campus activities. I recently help start up a new fraternity and find that to be very rewarding.

OSU definitely boast one of the most diverse and biggest student populations--Greeks, ethnic backgrounds, international students, age and socioeconomic. If there's one school to find people like you--and not like you--it's here at OSU. This definitely adds to the experience where other schools lack in diversity and allows students to mingle with other people they wouldn't have had the opportunity to ever meet. The size seems daunting initially but you carve your own niche and OSU life becomes much more accessible.

The reputation of the school is the best thing about OSU. I feel the education that I am getting will help me get the best career that I can get. Even though my classes are very difficult, I stay positive knowing that if I can accomplish survival of an engineering degree from OSU, I can do anything. After I leave with my degree and I tell people that I went to OSU, it really means something.

The best thing about my school is the diversity. The high school that I attended didn't have any diversity there were a few Caucasians but not many because my high school was majority African American. Ohio State introduced me to so many different cultures and races and they have an excellent office of International affairs that gives students opportunities to study abroad. Actually, our president Gordon Gee recommends that every student have a passport and consider studying abroad.

The computer and research facilities. And the libraries. The main library is wonderful!

Ohio State University seems like it would be so big, it's only too easy to get lost, but thats not the truth at all. CLasses are designed so that students can be hands on and actually learn. The size is actually more of an advantage than a disadvantage. I love the fact that it's so big. I feel like I have a lot more opportunities to meet new people and participatein all the things i want to. There are so many clubs and organizations, it is hard to choose just one.

The fact that no matter where you go, if you graduated from OSU, you are held at a higher level. Also it had the best program for my area of study in the US.

There is always something to do.
