What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

Jake

Everything! School is hard but amazing! I love everything about Penn State. I have learned an unbelievable amount since I have come here. I have gotten involved in many different clubs. I have made amazing friends for life. The people are friendly, very helpful and are always willing to help younger students.

Elissa

Our football team is only second to our academic programs at Penn State. With over 160 majors, and even more minors, there is nothing you can't find or accomplish at Penn State.

Maryrose

BIG TEN! We have a great football team and being able to brag to friends that don't attend Penn State that we have won many titles, is very pleasing! Football games are not just an activity you attend, watch, and leave. It's a whole expierence, to see all the tailgaters, the food, games, and families come together for this unique gathering. To be in a crowd of more than 100,000 people at one time is something that can never be taken away from me and it is awesome to rub that in my friends faces as well!

Daniele

I ususally brag about first how were a big party school. How could you not? There are like 40,000 people that go there so no wonder its a big party school. I also brag about how hard the classes are compared to other smaller schools.

Paul

I brag about our sports and academics. Penn State is ranked high in academics and the schools where I am from, in the south, are not ranked as high. Our football team has also been much better than my hometown college's team the last couple years.

Patricia

The high esteemed faculty and staff, and how well the school is known for academics. Also the oppourtunity for a great social life.

Adam

I honestly brag that it is just flat out better - better sports, better academic programs, better facilities, better classmates, better opportunity.

Lindsay

I find the school pride amazing at my school; it is awesome to see the magnitude of pride shown from Penn State alumni. It seems as though every person that went to Penn State is more than happy to tell you that!

Alyssa

Our football team!

Hayley

The school spirit, the amazing people that I know there and just the overall atmosphere that makes it such a wonderful place to be.

Donald

The school spirit is definitely what i brag about! Penn State is ridiculous when it comes to school spirit. There arent any fair weather fans. Everyone becomes addicted to college football, basketball, and other little sports. Every home football game, there is a massive Exodus to Beaver stadium so large that not everyone can fit inside and the lawns and parking lots become flooded with good times, happy fans, and the well known "WE ARE"... "PENN STATE" chant is heard for hours!

Amanda

Football games, parties and different opportunities.

Bridget

I brag about our school spirit, our excellent learning facility and our academics. Penn State is an amazing school all around.

John

It's a lot of fun. My school has an awesome football team, and the party scene is great

Taren

I brag to them about the parties and how big the school is

Andrew

How much fun it is to attend here. Life outside of the classroom, parties, sports events, and extra-curricular activites. Also slightly how great of a learning environment there is.

Christopher

How much better our football team is than theirs.

I mostly brag about my school's amazing football team and the amount of school spirit.

Gichuhi

Probably about the football team and the different facilities that we have on campus.

Stephen

Football, parties, girls, recreation, drinking, bars, activities not related to school

Brett

The atmosphere all week on campus if there is a big sporting event on the upcoming weekend. The chance to see one of the greatest coaches of all time in college football standing on the sidelines. The fact that we raise millions of dollars for childrens cancer. How a company will see I have a Penn State degree and most likely value that more than theres. We have on of the largest alumni pools in the America.

Valerie

It is relatively inexpensive compared to a private school, however, the quality of the education is very high.

Jenna

It has a great school spirit and a good football team.

daniel

It is Penn State so of course the football team. My brother attented this campus and main campus and graduated having a job before graduation. I plan go to to main in the fall of 2009.

Ben

Stephen

The extracurricular activites. There is so much to do when you have free time. A lot of my friends complain about being bored, but I always have so many stories of the things I do here.

Aidan

A lot of alumni and Penn State football.

Jennifer

I like to brag about how the subject specific class teachers are very caring. Since PSU is such a large campus with big classes, you don't get small classes until you are in classes specifically for your major. For example, being a math education major my higher level math classes are between 30-50 students. These professors talk to you, call you by name, collect homework for grades and let you know that they care about your success in their class. Extra office hours are made very often to accomdate student's schedules.

Christian

IDK

Brian

The social atmosphere of PSU is unparalled, even to other schools that have better ranked football teams; we hold the longest record for being ranked in the top 25 of all football teams. There is a big sports culture and all the teams get a big turnout . Greek life is pretty big at our campus and actually does the most volunteering. Volunteering and fundraising is a big part of the school experience and we actually have the biggest student-run philanthropy in the world, Penn State's Dance Marathon or THON for short, raised 6.6 million dollars last year.
