I wish the prices of textbooks weren't as high as they are.

Guidance counselor is terrible-she has too many students to worry about. Sometimes really difficult to get into classes needed for a specific semester in order to be on track for your program/graduation

There are too many people, so the food common are over crowded and it is hard to get into the classes that are needed.

The price! Penn State is VERY expensive and offers very little financial aid for its students! It definitely keeps people from attending there, and I think that is very unfortunate.

The worst thing about the school would be the amount of student football tickets that are given out. There are too man stuidents and not enough football tickets

There is no worst thing about my school. As long as students enter with a good attitude and are self-responsible they will encounter few problems.

The financial aid and scholarship funding program isn't the best especially for out-of state students life myself. Due to the fact the school is so large and a state school they do not offer that many scholarships unless you play a sport for the school. Other than that, Penn State is a wonderful place to learn and grow socially and educationally.

The only negative thing I could say about Penn State is that it is very large, and sometimes the amount of people can be a burden. I thoroughly enjoy attending a large university but numbers become a problem for things such as parking, housing, athletic events, food services, etc. Students attending here should be prepared to wait in line for mailing a letter, getting food, and attending various events.

There is nothing bad about Penn State. The worst thing would have to be the huge classes and the amount of work that there is to do. Even though there is a lot of work, you learn a lot and the workload will help out a lot in the future.

I sometimes feel that the school is too big. Coming in as a freshman I was completely overwhelmed and did not know where I fit it. It took me about a year to truly figure out what I wanted from Penn State and that is when I got heavily involved in my professional business fraternity. So all in all, the size of the school may be considered a bad thing.

There is a long waiting time: to get to class behind the slow walkers on the crowded streets, long lines for food, long lines to get into football games, long lines at the gym. Basically: overpopulation. Aside from waiting, I would say the biggest problem Penn State has is Roy Baker. (the director of sorority and fraternity life)

The people who don't appreciate being there because when they act irresponsibly it reflects bad on the entire student body and the university in general.

As of right now, since i am attending penn state lehigh valley the only bad thing about this campus is that is small. there is not enough space for students to spend free time or study time.

On campus housing is very difficult to secure and does not really accommodate those that live far from campus or even out of state. It is for this reason that most students move off campus after their first year.

The weather. No doubt or second guesses here. From October until March it can be bitter cold and usually rainy. Thank God there is a fun football team to watch during these conditions.

The worst thing about PSU is the weather, which is uncontrollable. The worst controllable thing about it is the difficult and heavy coursework.

The racial separation is at times unbearable -- and the worst part is that it's coming from both sides. There is no blatant racial hate or animosity, but there are clear boundaries that are not crossed. For such a big school that boasts diversity and tolerance, it is unfortunate that you can walk through HUB, the main student center on campus, and see blacks only sitting with blacks, and whites only sitting with whites.

There isn't much I can say here. The hardest thing is doing work because there is so much to do that is more fun than studying, but anyone can complain about that no matter where you go. It's competitive, but with good reason, and that's even a good thing. I don't really have much to say about Penn State that is negative, except maybe that State College is surrounded by cows. There could be more to do once you leave the town, but that makes Penn State it's own place. Thats a good thing too.

It's large. So if you don't make and effort you can get lost in the numbers.

The classes can be up to 20 minutes apart by foot. The buses are usually full during day time. It is too far and very easily made late due to insuficient bus

Since it is larger school, almost all of my tests are multiple choice, and I do well with essay questions.

The worst thing about my school is the distance to my classes. I have a far walk since I am off campus, but there are plenty of busses that run and also parking garages on capmus so it is a help.

The worst thing about penn state is intro level professors, because they are only there for the research. If you can make it past those classes, then everyone becomes much more involved and the professors are actually there for education, not research.

There is not as much diversity as a city campus school.

The school is very expensive and they charge a lot of money for a lot of basic things (like parking).

Too many people, not enough room, not enough places to live, way too expensive for school and housing, people are generally rude in every activity, teachers in big classes dont care if you pass or fail, limitations to take cources outside your major other then gen-eds.

Classes cost so much money. It is hard to pay for it if you are not continuously taking out loans. I know i will graduate with a ton of debt.

Just a little too cold in winter. The food in the restaurants doesn't taste too good. (not like University of Pennsylvania). and we dont have fresh fish for sushi because its kinda far from sea

The worst thing about my school is the lack of diversity. The school is over 80{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} caucasian, and because of this many people tend to feel uncomfortable. There are often many reports of hate crimes against minorities which adds to their discomfort. This is the worst thing because nobody should feel uncomfortable about the way they are at any school.

Appropriate housing is tough to find. The majority of students live off campus which makes you deal with leases, rent, and commutes which can cause problems. A lot of housing is available within walking distance, but some more affordable housing requires bus transport.

There doesn't really seem to be a huge emphasis on school. Most people do their work and get good grades and such, but if you don't do the work, or don't go to class, you are on your own. I have heard of other schools where if you miss a class, the professor will call you and see what is up. That doesn't happen here. If you don't do your work and skip class, you are pretty much on your own.

The worst thing about our school is the campus size. Since our school is located in the mountains where there is a lot of snow, it can become tough to get to classes when there are snow storms and ice storms. Since it snows so much at Penn State classes are never cancelled becaus e of snow, which forces students to deal with the weather and get to class on time anyway.

The price, hands down. Penn State is one of the most expencive instate tuition schools and for the majority of the students who happen to be middle class caucasians there isn't much aid besides loans. If you do apply to Penn State, make sure to apply for tons of scholarships!!

The worst thing about my school is how cold it can get in the winter.

The worst thing about any college is deffinitely the Greek life. Even though they supply free alcohol and pretty good parties, the type of people and attitudes they create are terrible. It is a way to make expensive friends, take advantage of other people, and have a sense of entitlement when they've done nothing to deserve it.

I would have to say the housing. Very expensive for those of us who do not get aid. It is quite expensive for living.

The worst thing about my school is probably that a lot of the activities that students get involved in is greek life. With that comes a lot of drinking and sometimes I think that it interferes with their studies. Also, for those students that don't drink, are subject to a lot of public drunkeness on the weekends. Sometimes it is uncomfortable to go downtown for dinner on the weekend because there are a lot of drunk students around.

I think the worst thing about PSU is that it was voted as one of the top party schools in the country, and most students are more proud of this than anything else. The weekends consist of drinking, drinking, and more drinking. It seems like that is the main focus of many students.

The weather in the winter is pretty harsh. It gets really cold really soon and snows and rains quite often from November through the end of March. When you come to visit in the Summer or early fall the campus is beautiful yet a little deceiving. I didn't realize what "cold" was until I went to Penn State.

Not enough places to live. Penn State is so big and there are a hugh number of students who attend the school. There are very limited places to live on and off campus. The rental properties are not sensitive to the financial stature of students who need to live off-campus. Rents are high and facilites are old and in poor condition and not condusive to students who need to concentrate on studies.

The worst thing about the school would be the cliques that form. While the people you meet are from a lot of different backgrounds and have a lot of personalities, there still a class of people that would consider themselves elite.

The worst thing about this school is the advisors, they have not guided me at all in any way. I would have to do my own research on what classes to take and what path I should be following to complete my major. They have not talked to me about career choices or my plan in the future.

The tuition cost.

The worst thing about my school is the size of general education classes, scuh as Art and Science. I graduated high school with 67 students, and am used to a lot of individual attention given. Here, you must want 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the attention given to you by the professors. You can sit in front of the class and ask questions constantly, or you can not even attend class, and the professors wouldn't know the difference. My art class has 300 students, and there is no way every one can be heard.

Probably the emphasis on the drinking scene. Many people don't realize that there is more to do than just go out and party on weekends!
