The most popular student activities are anything that has to do with film. The Chili Bowl and Christmas Ball are both big events each year.
The first undergraduate class to complete four years at Regent University just graduated. This tells you that Regents Student life is in it's early stages. However student life is growing rapidly. During my first year at Regent students left their doors closed all the time. The rooms in the housing facility, which isn't necessarily a dormitory, are bigger than dorm rooms, so people didn't feel the need to leave their doors open. Today however, more doors are open. Regent University doesn't have much of an athletic program, which I think detracts from it's school's pride. This however doesn't affect social life that much. I met my girlfriend at Regent and made a lot of my good friends there as well. On average, students at Regent don't party. There is so much to do in Virginia Beach, and I think that might be one of the reasons students don't spend their time partying.
The student life was great. Lots of opportunities for fellowship, events, socials, spiritual and professional development seminars, workshops, and other activities.
Social life is very individualistic, because there are no dorms. People pretty make their own social lives, outside of the campus for the most part. There's not a lot of partying, definitely not on campus. Personally, I like that. Campus is a quiet place to talk, study, and think. And it's a gorgeous place... lots of lawn and trees... brick sidewalks, beautiful Georgian architecture.
