The Saint Martin’s university is very diverse and happy. Everyone seems to help each other since they’re all going through the same thing. I honestly don’t like the monks walking around at night which is kind of creepy. However, I deeply believe that Saint Martin‘s is the school for me.
I like it, I love the small class sizes, I love the learning environment. The hands on help is really nice and affective. I do not like how they don’t help provide more scholarships for the students who are 2nd year plus. It’s hard affording this college but it is nice other than that.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Saint Martin’s University is 95%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
After the experience I have had with transferring into a college environment and being a college student, I realized that when the time came for everything to actually happen, I wasn't really ready. My teachers prepared me for the academic side of college but not the transition into college. My advice to myself would be to always accept help from whoever offers it. By not accepting help, you make everything harder on yourself; and while accepting help, you could learn something new that will benefit you on your college journey. Also, no matter what, always try to get involved with campus life and activities. Don't just go to class and then back to your dorm or house. The people you will meet and the friends you can make will last you a life time and make college that much better. My last piece of advice to myself would be to never be afraid to take a leap into something new. The more fear you have, the smaller chance of accomplishing something and in the end, you will just be holding yourself back from being the best person you can be.
The best thing about Saint Martin's University is that the class sizes are really small. This is really cool because I learn so much better when I am in a small class. All my teachers know my name, and I know theirs. I like being a person, and not just a name on a roster.
I really can't think of the worst thing. I thoroughly enjoy my school.
Anyone that is selfish and narrow minded. Everyone is welcome and the reason I say that is because it might hard for someone who doesn't like diversity to feel comfortable.
Although Saint Martin's is small, the people here are extremely supportive and welcoming, and the faculty are extremely helpful.
I brag most about the amazing advisors, class sizes, and flexibility of class scheduling; being able to take an in-seat and online course simultaneously.
My classmates are very energetic and accepting; I felt extremely welcome, my first day of school.
small, community-based
Saint Martin?s University is Catholic Benedictine School, the only one located west of the Rocky Mountains. Saint Martin's was established in 1895 by Roman Catholic Monks order by Saint Benedict. When the school was first built it was attended by one student Angus McDonald who traveled by canoe from Shelton some 25 miles away. Saint Martin?s University is now attended by over 1250 students. Some of the monks on campus teach classes such as history and religious studies. They reside in the Abbey which is located behind the main building Old Main.
I am honestly happy with what I knew and didn't at the time. By being a part of this school, I've learned about it and the people that live here all year, every year. That being said, it means that much more when I know that I am going to a school and living on a campus that is always changing. It helped me learn about what kind of person I am and want to be.
St. Martin's University is a school that is well suited for students that want an intimate learning experience. Although St. Martin's is a Catholic school, religion is not forced upon you. It's a great school if you need extra help and one on one time with the professors. They are all kind, helpful, and here to help you succeed not only in college, but in life. I would recommend St. Martin's University to everyone so that they could have a successful and fun college experience!
The most frustrating thing about my school is that we have a couple of professors that arn't personable like all of the other ones are.
