i love my school. although there are many things that piss me off about it, the education is incredible and individualized, and i've made some of the best friends of my life. plus manhattan is manhattan.

Jacqueline

I have loved the Sarah Lawrence experience, and I think that I have really grown as a person by attending this institution. I studied abroad and found that most people I met did not actually care about learning in general, and it's great to be in classes and around people who are generally interested in learning and expanding their knowledge, instead of only caring about the grade at the end. The curriculum is set up in such a fantastic way that I never felt like I was pigeonholed into only doing one thing, or feeling like I had to take classes that were of no interest to me.

Annalee

The housing is generally awesome. I lived in tudor mansions, had a room with five closets and a sink, and always had a kitchen in my place.

Nicole

The students may have a 'holier than thou' attitude, but how can you really get upset when it's a sign that students feel completely comfortable and confident in being themselves?

HILLEL/CHRISTIAN UNION

Tyler

I am taking this survey in response to a plea from a good friend in the Hillel/Christian Union. The name alone might give some hints as to the melting pot SLC has become.

Rachel

I'm filling this survey out especially for Hillel and Christian Union to receive funds for their Midnight Run (to deliver food, clothes to the homeless): The organization that is sponsoring us is: www.midnightrun.org

Ryan

I am writing this because HILLEL/CHRISTIAN UNION asked me to. It benefits them. Please make sure they get the credit due for it.

Cameron

The gender ratio is strange, you get used to it, but every once in a while I look around and wonder what it would have been like to go to a 50-50 school.

Hannah

HILLEL ROCKS MY WORLD! Best rabbi ever.

Erica

Sarah Lawrence is perfect for .000003{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of America's Population and that is why it was perfect for me.

Ben

- I wouldn't go here were I a senior in high school now, but then I wouldn't be who I am to make that decision had I not gone here in the first place. No regrets, I guess.

Royce

Hillel is the organization who sent me here and I do believe they deserve better recognition on campus.

Charlie

It's a wonderful, crazy, messed up, stressful, terrible, great place to be.

Katherine

I love Sarah Lawrence. It's the best and only place for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone here. You rock my socks. Though, sometimes, I wish I slept a bit more...

Dawson

Say anything? Um... top hats are pretty cool. And I believe that there is a bug on the outiside of my window. I'm afraid I'm getting a bit tired of typing.

Mike

Sarah Lawrence is a good place to go if you're liberal, affluent, and want to study dance, theater, or creative writing. Otherwise, avoid at all costs. Even the people who are happy here are unhappy. There's a mass exodus of transfers each year. More or less everyone I've met here has admitted to thinking about transferring at some point or another. I doubt many other colleges can boast that.

KJ

I have talked to a lot of struggling freshmen, the academics are a huge challenge and its hard to get through them because there is little sense of community support.

Emmie

One big complaint I have is the career counseling office here. In high school, we had so much information available to us when we applied to college. Here, it is as if they don't expect the students to want to go to graduate schools. But a lot of students do want to keep on learning. But the career counseling office seems to just not be there. You go in and they just plop a big binder in front of you and let you leaf through the pages alone. I am not asking to be babied and pampered. I am asking for advice, knowledge, and helpful information on all the programs, fellowships ,etc that is out there.

Blake

Make sure you know the real Sarah Lawrence before coming here. It can be an amazing place if its the right fit!

Tristan

Financial aid here is a joke. They basically lie to you - I have a friend who was told he would only have to pay about $2000, but after enrolling, was suddenly asked to come up with $10,000. They promise not to decrease financial aid year-to-year, but mine was cut by about 20{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} - that meant about $5,000.
