SUNY Buffalo State Top Questions

Describe a typical weekend.

Allie

It depends both on the person and where you're living. For most people, the weekend starts Thursday night- a lot of people go out to parties and bars. Campus is notably less populated on Fridays than the other weekdays, as a lot of people try to avoid scheduling classes for Fridays. People go out on Friday too, but it's typically not as busy as Thursday and Saturday. On Saturday, people go to sports games, the Galleria Mall, the library, or just stay in their dorm/room apartment all day sleeping and hanging out. At night, South Campus is the place to be, although more people tend to stay in at night during the coldest months. On Sunday more people are on campus doing work, and the diners around both campuses are packed with kids getting brunch (as are the campus dining halls, which are well-known for their omelet stations and make-your-own-waffle stations featuring irons that imprint the UB logo onto your waffle. It's cute.).
