What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Make sure that you know who you are all the way through the process. Think about what experiences you want out of the University and what skills you want to learn. Then take a step back and decide if you want to live near home or away from home.All in all make sure that you go to college for you and not for anyone else or you may not get what you want out of life there. The most important thing to consider when looking for a college is, without a doubt, finding the school that fits you the best. You will be bombarded with offers, starting as early as your sophomore or junior year, from plenty of schools claiming to want you. It is your job as a well-informed student, however, to sort through the trarsh and find the school that is actually right for you. One thing that you absolutely must do before you decide on a school is visit the campus. Just because a school looks good on paper, there is no guarantee that it will actually feel like home. Once you have decided on a school, relax and celebrate the major life decision t hat you have made! When you arrive on campus for orientation or for your first day of class, don't be afraid to talk to people. Making friends is essential in creating the best possible college experience for yourself. Also, make sure to talk to a person in your area of interests academically and extracurricularly to ensure that you are connected at your school from the very beginning. And don't forget to enjoy the experience.
